The Dougherty Arts Center is proud to present the first annual Art Happens Here Spring Fling Festival, a one-day, juried art show that connects fine artists with the community. Think of it as a show-and-tell exhibit, sale, and all day art workshop party! Meet artists and sample art techniques both new and known through artist demonstrations and hands-on art activities for all ages.

3:00-3:30pmZentanglesArtist: Martha KullZentangles are non-representational, unplanned images created by drawing structured patterns composed of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves and orbs.
DAC-Led Activites in Gallery12:00-2:00pmStraw Blown PaintingsAttendees will be able to use straws, ink, and paper to create a blown painting wall hanging inspired by Cherry Blossom trees and Chinese wall hangings.
2:30-4:30pmMonoprintsAttendees of the event will be able to experiment with a monoprint technique using our re-usable gelly print plates, printing ink, objects from nature & cardstock to create a piece of artwork to take home.
