Recycling Made Easy...

D.M. RECYCLING CO.PO BOX 532PUYALLUP, WA 98371

Place Stamp Here

Recyclables should be clean, rinsed, dry and empty.

Rinse containers with water and leave no food residue.

Plastic lids and caps must come off. Throw them away.

Labels can stay on.

Do not bag items, unless it is shredded paper. Put shredded paper in a paper bag.

Never throw needles, or containers that hold needles, in your recycling cart. In addition to contamination, you put the employees who sort at risk.

Glass can’t be mixed with other recyclables because the shards mix with paper and other recyclables, which then damages procesing equipment, lowers the values of the recycled paper, increases processing costs and poses a danger to workers at the sorting stations.

Plastic bags will cause machinery to jam. Place plastic bags in garbage or recycle them at your local grocery store.

Less sorting means more time to think about waste prevention.Commingled recycling is easy to do. Do Not Put These Items in Your Recycling Container

When in doubt, throw it out.Contamination

increases the cost of the recycling

Who? Eligible customers that have at least monthly garbage service.

When? Every other Week, as specified by the attached calendar.

In What? Each household customer will have one 64-gallon roll cart and one orange curby. Place your recycla-bles in the roll cart, with the exception of glass bottles and jars. Place glass bottles and jars in your orange curby.

What Time? On your designated collection day place your containers curbside for pick up by 5:00 AM in the City and urban growth boundary.

Where? Place all containers no more than 3 feet from the curb and visible from the street.

Why recycle? By recycling, you divert materials from going to the landfill, help the environment and are able to help control your cost for garbage collection. Clean, properly sorted recyclables become raw materials for new products. When manufacturers use recycled materials in their production, they reduce their consumption of natural resources.

What If I Forget? You can wait until the next pick up, take the material to the transfer station, or call for a spe-cial pick up (a small fee will be charged for special pickup). Holidays? We will not pick up garbage, recycling or yard debris on the following holidays:

Christmas Day New Years Day

If your pick up day falls on one of these holidays your pick up day will be one day later. Please note: Large amounts of some recyclable items can be heavy and may cause the roll cart to be unserviceable due to weight. Please set recycling out regularly in order to avoid accumulation of heavy material.
