Her supportive and encouraging words are exactly what I believe yoga to be all about. She makes it fun and allows us to laugh at her and ourselves.

I have never taken a yoga class before, but I have spoken with others who have. From what I’ve heard, most yoga classes are not as spiritual, supportive or as fun as Sandy’s are. I have already signed up for the next 8 weeks of classes through the college and intend on continuing beyond that. Should Sandy open her own studio, I would definitely continue my yoga classes with her in her studio.”

The leadership she showed in shaping the chamber to become a true asset to the business community was something Tumwater had needed for years.

After Sandra became director of the Tumwater Chamber, KMAS radio saw the professionalism that had been lacking from the other directors. We were given updates through the Chamber website, opportunities to help the Chamber promote the events and new programs Sandra had designed. Working with the Chamber was a true joy because I knew Sandra would do what she had promised and that wasn’t always the case before she became director. As a person who talks with people daily asking for the radio station to help their promotions, it is always nice to have someone that knows how to make an event work and Sandra was that person. There are very few Chambers that has a staff that can do graphic design, newsletters that has you wanting to take a few minutes out of your busy day to read, come up with community activities that helps not only businesses bit the entire community, and always with a smile. Sandra can and did do that plus I am sure much more.

“ “ I am writing regarding I am writing regarding Sandy Kozlowski. I have been friends with Sandy for a few years and know her

and her children very well. They are a wonderful family and her boys are great. I have had them to our home several times and her boys are respectful to my home, family and our three dogs.

Sandy is one of the most dedicated mothers I have met and she does all this while working a full time job and volunteering much of her time, holding positions on boards of non-profits such as Wolf Haven International and Conchetta House. The Conchetta House is a project that will provide scholarship housing to single mothers attending college and also offers low-cost childcare. Sandy conceived the idea of this project and has recruited many volunteers to see it through to the end. She is the most organized woman I have had the pleasure of meeting and I am always surprised at how she accomplishes so much with a large family. I believe it is through her organization and how she has raised her children that she can be so involved in all her work and remain as peaceful as she does.
