MobileTouch Setup Guide

Purpose
This setup guide describes with how to install and configure HealthEMS MobileTouch.
The MobileTouch URL setup is browser-based and requires Windows 10 (Chrome or Edge) or
iOS/iPadOS (Chrome or Safari). The URL interface is compatible with cloud/online support for
Physio-Control LIFENET and ZOLL Online configurations.
The MobileTouch Local setup is a local application installation that requires the Microsoft Windows 10
operating system. The MobileTouch Local interface is only required if local/offline support is needed
for Philips HeartStart MRx or Physio-Control LIFEPAK configurations, but it also includes cloud/online
support.
IMPORTANT: Windows 10 is required for Windows-based tablet hardware with muti-touch
screen capabilities.

use of MobileTouch.
• Refer to the HealthEMS Manager User Guide for documentation on setting up user
permissions and customizing the agency setup tables used in MobileTouch as reference
tables.

The HealthEMS MobileTouch User module setting in HealthEMS Manager is tied out to
MobileTouch installation.
Agencies must have this module enabled to be able to authenticate or install MobileTouch on any
device.

Setup
Requirements
MobileTouch Local MobileTouch URL
• Windows 10
• .NET 4.6.1 or newer
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2015
• EXE installation file assigned to the agency’s environment
• Agency credentials assigned to role permissions specific to MobileTouch data entry and device configuration
• Online connectivity during device configuration and most MobileTouch features
• Offline support for PCR documentation and ECG case file import/attachment
• Windows 10, iOS 11/12 or iPadOS 13
• Web browser (Chrome, Edge or Safari)
• MobileTouch URL assigned to the agency’s environment
• Agency credentials assigned to role permissions specific to MobileTouch data entry and device configuration
• Online connectivity during device configuration and most MobileTouch features
• Offline support for PCR documentation
Installation
EXE URL
Step 1) Download the MobileTouch Local executable file assigned to your agency’s environment. The link to this file is provided through MobileTouch implementation ticket correspondence. Step 2) Execute by double-clicking the file and provide Windows credentials (if prompted) to authorize adding the software to the device. Step 3) Install .NET 4.6.1 or newer if prompted. Step 4) Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 if an error is displayed. Important: Windows 10 includes Microsoft .NET 4.6.x support and should not require an extra installation of .NET 4.6.1.
Step 1) Compatible web browser installed and connected to the internet.

Device Registration
Step 1) Open MobileTouch from the desktop icon created during install or navigate to the URL.
• Select the “Configure this Device” button.
IMPORTANT: Upon navigating to the URL, if the browser is not supported a blank screen or the following message will display:
• “MobileTouch is not supported in this browser. Please use Internet Explorer 11+, Safari (iOS 8.4 or 9+), Chrome, or Edge.”
Step 2) Enter your username & password for HealthEMS and select the “Log In” button. IMPORTANT: Your user account role must have “Edit” applied to the “MobileTouch Installation” permission in order to register a device and complete the setup.
A configuration option has been added to enable Auto-Registering of a new MobileTouch device. This option only applies to the MobileTouch Local install. When this configuration option is ON and MobileTouch is being configured on a new device, MobileTouch will automatically pull the device's "Computer Name" and if, the Computer Name is not already in the agency's list of Devices, MobileTouch will add it to the list of devices. If the Device name already exists in the list of devices, MobileTouch will match the new device to the existing device name.

Step 3) If adding a device for the first time, select the “+ Add New…” button. If re-registering a device, proceed to Step 5.
Step 4) To add a new device, a Name is required. Model, Manufacturer, and Serial Number are optional, however this information can be queried within HealthEMS reporting. Select the yellow button.
Use the button in the bottom right corner to return to the device list.

Step 5) Type a device name in the search field, select the radio button associated with the desired device name and then select the “Use Selected” button.
Step 6) MobileTouch will now complete configuring. NOTE: Some browsers require a manual refresh of the web page (F5) to load the dashboard, if the web page does not automatically refresh.
IMPORTANT: Authenticating in more than one web browser tab on the same device is not supported. Duplicate sessions will be automatically logged out.

Dashboard
The Dashboard is the default view and displays ePCR’s specific to the user credentials authenticated
to MobileTouch.
• Refer to the HealthEMS MobileTouch User Guide for information regarding the navigation and
use of MobileTouch.
Logout
• Selecting the button will logout the user and return to the login view.
Close
• Selecting the button will change the color to red and display a popup window asking “Are you sure you want to exit HealthEMS MobileTouch? - Selecting ‘Yes’ will close MobileTouch. - Selecting ‘No’ will close the popup window and
cancel. - The default selection is ‘Yes’.

Support
The Support tab displays information specific to the MobileTouch device setup. For more information
regarding MobileTouch Device Management, refer to the HealthEMS Manager User Guide
MobileTouch • Version - Displays the current version.
• Released - Displays when the current version was released.
• User - Displays the active user account name.
Device • Name - Displays the name of the registered device.
• Unique ID - Displays the device ID that was assigned during the device registration process.
• Configured - Displays the date when MobileTouch was configured on this device and the current Config associated with this device.
Last Sync • ePCR’s sync to the cloud approximately every
minute.
• The device must be connected to the internet and communicate with healthems.com to complete the sync process.
• If a sync fails, the text will turn red and the message will convey the approximate amount of time since the last sync in minutes, hours, or days.
• Select the ‘Last Sync’ button to manually sync and refresh the sync status.

Refresh Reference Tables
• Select the ‘Refresh Reference Tables’ button to manually download HealthEMS Manager Setup Tables and Configuration Settings.
Change Password • Select the ‘Change Password’ button to manually
change the user password for the HealthEMS System.
• If a user's password is expired, or within 14 days of expiring, an option will display
to Change Password directly from the login
page.
Send Diagnostics • Select the ‘Send Diagnostics’ button to manually
upload diagnostic log files to the HealthEMS System.
IMPORTANT: This action must be attached to a support ticket by the Solution Center.

Administrative Support
There is an administrative support page, which is primarily used to uninstall MobileTouch.
IMPORTANT: Uninstalling MobileTouch will remove the local cache and database, which will
erase all locally stored ePCR data and attachments.
MobileTouch Local – In the top left of the application, click the MobileTouch icon
Support
• Displays the administrative support page
Refresh
• Refreshes the current view
Home
• Displays the MobileTouch Local home page, which could be device configuration, login, or the last page displayed before selecting the Support page
About
• Displays the MobileTouch Local version installed
URL - Adding /support to the end of the MobileTouch URL will display the administrative support page.
Clear All Data and Uninstall App • Clears / uninstalls the device’s
registration. • An extra verification step has been
added to allow a user to uninstall MobileTouch from a device. This will prevent Users from clearing data and uninstalling MobileTouch unless they also have the proper permissions to re-install MobileTouch on the device.
Send Diagnostic Logs • Sends the diagnostic / log files over
to the HealthEMS system.
View Logs in New Tab • Provides quick access to view the
log data.

Selecting the ‘Clear All Data and Uninstall App’ button will remove the registered Device Name and Device ID.
- A confirmation will display when completed.
Removing /support from the URL or selecting the MobileTouch icon in the top left of the application and choosing Home will display the option to re-configure the device.
