Using a proprietary algorithm, ‘potential’healthcare professionals are discovered whoACT like an HCP, CONVERSE like an HCP,and APPEAR TO BE RESPECTED as an

HCP by their peer group social network.

With more than 70 million social media and web-based sources, we first seek to findHEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS within the noise of other conversation by crawlingthe Internet and medical communities.

A Data Quality Team manually reviews each and every HCP profile to assess whether it is a useful and VALID PROFILE for further analysis. Each HCP is ‘hand-picked’.

Using a custom ontology, automatedalgorithms seek for evidence of a

PROFESSIONAL ROLE or interest. This includes area of work and HCP type.

Using a 10-step rule-based process, location data is analyzed to DETERMINE LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE. For this study, 86.79% of authors had sufficient location data in public channels to be positioned on the map.

Once all HCP profiles have been processed, further analysis of behavioral and peer connections

takes place using SOCIAL NETWORK ANALYSISand big data aggregation techniques.
