Any shipments requiring special services (such as delivery appointments, non-dock delivery, expe-dited delivery, inside delivery, military base deliv-ery, etc.) may be subject to additional charges, which will be invoiced on a prepay-and-add, case-by-case basis.

Pricing

Freight ConsiderationsMinimum Freight Charge. Orders less than 500 lbs. will be assessed a minimum freight charge of $75.00 Net per order. Excludes items shipped via small package ground service. Palletization. For enhanced protection and further assur-ance of safe delivery, Casegood products may be palletized prior to shipment. Pallets are one per product and sized per the product/carton. Palletization is $21 Net charge per pallet. Ownership Transfer. All products are shipped F.O.B. Origin, High Point, North Carolina with ownership and responsibility of the merchandise transferring to the buyer when the freight carrier accepts the shipment from High Point Furniture Industries. inspection & Freight claims. It is the responsibility of the buyer to inspect all shipments upon receipt and note any visible damage on the bill of lading. Buyer is responsible for filing freight claims with the responsible freight carrier.Concealed Damage. Claims for concealed damage must be filed within 15 days of delivery, and original cartons must be retained. Buyer is responsible for filing claims for con-cealed damage with the responsible carrier.Returns. Return of non-defective merchandise is allowed only with prior written authorization from HPFI. Shipments of returned merchandise will be assessed a 25% restocking charge and must conform to the Return Guidelines outlined in the High Point Furniture Industries commercial price list. Cancellations. Requests for order cancellation will be honored so long as production has not yet begun. If produc-tion has already begun, High Point Furniture Industries will complete production and attempt to sell the product for a period of 180 days. If product is not sold within 180 days, the Buyer will be invoiced production cost of the product.
