� To speed up exit from the building during evacuations

the office has been divided into zones

� These zones only apply when sat at your desk

� Each zone has a fire warden who is responsible for

checking that everyone has left for the muster point

� The muster point is located in Churchyard Gardens

as shown on the health and safety leaflet

First Aid

� There are trained First Aiders spread around the

office and are easily identifiable with signs at their

desks

� The location of each of the first aiders can be seen on

the emergency equipment and personnel plan. The

plan also shows where first aid kits can be found.

� If you use any of the first aid equipment please inform

the H&S department afterwards

Health & Safety Reporting

� All accidents, incidents and significant near hits need

to be recorded in the accident book – located at

reception

� Should medical assistance be required, then your line

manager, HR and the H&S team will need to be

informed at the earliest possible opportunity

Housekeeping

� The Majority of accidents within office environments

are from housekeeping issues – slips, trips and falls

– Keep Walkways and doorways clear from

obstructions

– avoid running cables where there is possibility of

people tripping over them

– Always collect your printing, even if it is to put it

into recycling
