About the EventEven after decades of freedom, India is struggling to provide basic health services to its people. According to government sources, in India 45 children die every hour due to respiratory infections. 1 child dies every 2 minutes due to diarrhoea. And annually, about 2 million children under 5 years of age die due to preventable diseases. 

The situation calls for timely care and diagnosis which can reduce the incidence of morbidity and mortality especially among children and women. 

Change A Life Event is one such special initiative of Change A Life Foundation to provide healthcare services to meet the immediate health care. It will be a small duration camps of 2 days on every Saturday & Sunday in a month in different location. It will organise in different parts of the country on the basis of health needs of a specific location like RWA, Societies, Colleges, Government offices, Schools, Rural areas etc. These Health Check up Event aim at promoting health seeking behaviour in the long term and thus, unlike a general curative Health Check Up Event, these event will also majorly work on building awareness regarding common ailments, nutrition hygiene and sanitation. These camps provide health check up services at the minimal cost of Rs.20/- only.

The uniqueness of the model lies in its comprehensive approach where health promotion and prevention are given equal importance while curative care is administered.
