Healing with Horses combines therapy and the unique healing power of horses. Horses provide a fun, challenging and unique enviornment in which human growth, healing and potential

may be achieved.

Kris Miner, MS

Kris has been helping people heal

for over 20 years. She has experience as an in-home family therapist, a

social worker and as a Restorative Justice professional. Kris is skilled with

working with trauma survivors.

Healing with Horses is a program of the non-profit Circle Space Services,

founded by Kris Miner in 2015.

Horsepower in Sioux Falls is providing the opportunity for individual, couple,

group and family sessions. Twice a month sessions and groups will be

available. If your agency would like to partner, please contact Kris.

What if I don’t have any horse experience? Experience with horses is not necessary and engaging with the horses with an open mind is encouraged.

Will I be riding a horse? Typically, sessions are done as “groundwork”, on a case-by-case basis, therapist and client will decide if mounted work would be beneficial.

How long are Equine Sessions? One-hour, unless the session is a group of class. You arrive a few minutes before your scheduled time. We visit and review safety and spend the majority of our time with the horses.

How much does it cost? Individual sessions are $70 for a 75-minute session. We do not bill insurance, if you have been referred for a session, your provider may have negotiated a rate or be paying for your session.
