Headteacher’s Blog – Week Commencing 18 th of May 2020 I hope you are all well and keeping safe. I also hope you are following the advice from the government as we try our hardest to slow the spread of the coronavirus. I have been delighted with the many messages of thanks for everything the school is doing, and from students wanting to get back to school as soon as possible. Heart- warming indeed! I cannot believe that we are at May Half term already. Following the latest government announcements we are preparing to welcome back some Year 10 students to school. When my team and I have finalised the plans we will get them to you. In order to keep the community safe I have filmed a ‘social distancing at CODA’ video which shows how the school will operate when we re-open. It will be on the website next week so please take a look. Although these are unprecedented times, CODA remains strong and I am proud with the amount of successes we have had whilst students learn at home. All students mentioned will also receive an extra 20 points. These will be carried forward to next year’s Activity Day scoring as well. I have to start by saying thank you and well done to Miss Wayland and Mr Sheffield who have created and co- ordinated the video below. I also want to thank all of the staff who have been involved in the following film. CODA has produced a video to show all of the students how much we miss them. We cannot wait until school re-opens. The link is below – enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3j1Smtb_FE&feature=youtu.be CODA CV 19 School. The staff in the CV19 CODA School wanted to say a huge well done to the students who are flying through their Princes Trust modules. Well done everyone. General Success I would like to say a big well done to Paris and Matilda B. They entered a colouring competition for a company. They were not the winners but the company were so impressed they sent them aprons as a prize. Well done girls we are proud of you.
