9 March 2017 Ngā mihi ki te whānau o te Kura Waenga o Ngāmotu MANAAKITANGA – KINDNESS He aroha whakatō, he aroha ka puta mai If kindness is sown, then kindness is what you shall receive. So sorry that this newsle>er is late this week. It just seemed to run away on me! CAMP What a week. Year 5 camp highlighted stories of challenge and PRIDE. Most parLcularly the teachers noted the resilience of this group which illustrated our Central Learner statement; The Central learner is a resilient risk taker. The 4 Central Learner statements in our school charter evolved through consultaLon with our families. We looked at what we want our year 6 students to be armed with as they leave us to conLnue their life long learning. The four statement are The Central Learner is a resilient risk taker knows how to learn and achieve builds posiLve relaLonships is creaLve You can find out more on our school website or pop in to the office foyer and pick up the copy of the Central School Curriculum. WELCOME Rooms 1, 5 and 9 are extra lucky this year as they have an extra teacher one day a week. Corinna Faamai, Liam Blyde and Greer Knowles are studying on-line for their educaLon degrees at Waikato. We are grateful that they chose us as their base school so that we can gain from their learning while harnessing their skills at our school. Photos next week! SUMMER FAIR 2017 - a message from our wonderful organisers. So it’s all over for another year or two! Thank you to everyone who supported the Home and School in so many different ways. From all of the kind donaLons to the willingness to be roped into help on stalls or in the office despite already having done your sLnt! We began planning the Summer Fair many months ago and had many, many meeLngs a‘er school. Our children also deserve a special menLon for
