The above payment standards are effective for all new lease-ups, unit to unit transfers, rent increases, and for current participant’s annual re-examinations.

Rent Reasonableness

HUD's rent reasonableness standard is

designed to ensure that rents being paid are reasonable in relation to rents being charged for comparable unassisted units in the same market.

Top 5 Issues Identified with Inspections 1. GFI’s

They must be installed at the time of the inspections

Must be within 6ft of the kitchen sink, bathroom

sink and laundry sink. All unfinished basements, exterior and garages

must have GFI protected outlets unless they are being utilized for a washer/dryer or refrigerator.

Top 5 Issues Identified with Inspections 5. Multiple Re-Scheduled Inspections Move-In Inspections: The unit must be vacant and repairs completed

prior to the inspection.
