What are Graphic Novels?
Gravett, 2005 states that Graphic novels are books in which “images and text arrive together, work together, and should be read together” thus looking much like comics.
A graphic novel is a book length story that is written and illustrated in comic book style.
Coincides with the increased popularity of manga, a Japanese comic style.
Teachers and librarians are seeing the growing popularity of graphic novels
motivating potential to reach reluctant readers
