The work we do educates our audience on important issues and helps create a more informed, involved school community. At the same time, the process demands solid reporting, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making on our part. We are grateful for the opportunity.

This month marks the 25th anniversary of an important decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, limiting student expression in Hazelwood v. Kuhlmeier. We’re lucky to be in an atmosphere where student media is viewed as an important forum rather than a threat.

Thank you for honoring our learning experience and the role of journalism in the high school environment. We are proud to produce student media in a supportive environment free of prior review and administrative control.
