In the last century, the cItIes were buIlt on the basIs of functIon and IntellectualIty, changes In
socIal structures and technIcal InnovatIons; whIch has caused demonstrated human populatIons
and habItats In the urban area. sImultaneously, human beIng has not recognIzed the problems of
abnormal weather, aIr pollutIon and waste water and ground. nowadays, the world Is facIng
crIsIs In global envIronment and loose of IdentIty. the economIc development lImIted the sourc-
es and destroyed the envIronment, brIngs only momentary prosperIty and lacks sustaInabIlIty.
therefore, I belIeve that It Is tIme to change our conscIousness and take steps towards sustaIna-
bIlIty and envIronment.
I have completed my master degree In sustaInable archItecture In 2013 at the unIversIty of
sheffIeld In england. I studIed sustaInable archItecture In order to make a posItIve contrIbutIon
to the re-constructIon and development effort, keepIng envIronmental concerns at the fore-
front of thIs work. archItecture Is not only an art of functIon but also an art of envIronmental
response to the challenges of clImate change. sustaInable archItecture Is partIcularly Important
In any gIven post conflIct reconstructIon and development sItuatIon. thIs relatIonshIp between
buIldIngs and envIronment Is not just a recent concern; It has been a vItal force throughout the

my Interest In archItecture began at a young age, as my father was workIng In the constructIon
fIeld. from that tIme, I have seen and experIenced both the artIstIc and constructIve sIde of de-
sIgn and as a chIld always wanted to ImagIne, explore and balance both; whIch Indeed drove me
towards archItecture at a very young age.
explorIng, understandIng, researchIng and desIgnIng for fIve years durIng my undergraduate
studIes at unIversIty of salahaddIn In Iraq has exposed me to varIous subjects and branches of
archItecture such as archItectural desIgn, urban desIgn, cIty plannIng & housIng, InterIor
desIgn, landscape archItecture, theory of archItecture, archItecture & envIronment, hIstory
of archItecture and archItecture graphIcs. I also had the opportunIty to utIlIze my skIlls In
computer aId programmers such as autocad, 3ds studIo max, ecotect and photoshop.
I have more than 4 years of experIence In archItecture and constructIon fIelds. I have worked
wIth zozIk group companIes_ one of the leadIng companIes In Iraq and mIddle east. I was head
of archItecture department In mass cIty project. my dutIes were vary from desIgner to con-
structIon supervIsor. besIdes, I worked as a part tIme dIgItal archItecture lecturer In both erbIl
polytechnIc and IshIk unIversItIes.
I have extensIve experIence wIth a broad range of desIgn and management software IncludIng
auto cad, sketchup, revIt, 3ds max and adobe suIte (photoshop, Illustrator and IndesIgn).

02 TAO-N HousesThe research was focused on design of a Zero Energy (Near zero Carbon) House. It is based on a real pro-gram(TAO-N houses) in which the entrepreneur aims to build these house on several sites across the UK. Therefore, two different locations have been selected, London represents southern part of the UK and Aberdeen southern part. In order to achieve Zero Energy(Near Zero Carbon) Houses, It is signifi-cant to reduce the amount of heat gains and heat losses in the building to a minimum as possible, meanwhile, it is also important to sustain comfort and healthy environment inside building in summer and winter.The main sources of energy consumption is coming for 1. Lighting 2. Heating and Cool-ing. Hence the house was examined for both Lighting Analysis (Using Ecotect) and Thermal Analysis using (Design Builder).

03 Optimisation of building opening generation using generative algorithms
This dissertation presents a methodology, which based on performance-base design and generative design approaches to optimise building elements. Firstly, the research starts with defining the tools that will use in this approach which are Parametric modelling, Simulation, Optimisation and Generation. Secondly the role of parametric models, simulation and Genetic Algorithms in the optimisation process has been defined and different related projects has be presented. Finally, windows size and shape in an office building will be optimised by using Rhino/grasshopper as a graphical algorithm editor, Diva for grasshopper as a simulation engine and Galapagos as generative problem solver.
Regarding to the obtained optimum solution for the window size and shapes in the office buildings, the results showed that the best performing south facing win-dow sizes are those windows which have the window-to-wall ratio of (10%-35%). The results also explore that vertical shaped windows with the width-height ratio of (1:2) are consuming less en-ergy than horizontal and square shaped windows.

02 Mass City Project - Sales
Mass city project is one of the largest residential project in Erbil city_one of the fast growing cities in Kurdistan region of Iraq. This project is consists of three parcels; Mass City, Erbil Mass city and Mass Village.I have worked in Mass City parcels, as an Architect and Head of architecture department with Zozik Group (the partner of Mass Global). In Mass City, beside working in the adminstrative and con-structive side of the project, I have participated in the design and implementation of the Mass City- Sales office.

03 Mass City Project - Residential
The architecture office of Zozik Group has desinged and con-structed the largest parcel of Mass City project. I was head of the architecture office at that time. The design is respected the top-ographical context of the site in order to avoid cutting and filling.This parcel of Mass city consists of 1768 single family house units + comunity servise like (health center, school, shoping center). The house units are devided into two types according their land area (320 msq and 240msq). Moreover, each types of them have four diffrent designs.
