Through this option, the UCSI University internal diploma/ degree
programmes are recognised through ‘advanced standing’ entry by one
or more partner universities, in terms of credit exemptions given for
advancing into their Bachelor degree programmes. Students who have
completed courses with ‘advanced standing’ status can gain admission
into the second or third year of the degree programme overseas. Here,
students can choose to pursue various pathways including a ‘2+1’,
‘1.5+1.5’, ‘2+2’ or a ‘1+2’ degree programme at UCSI University before
going to a partner university overseas to complete the remaining
modules of the course. Upon fulfilling the graduation requirements,
the students would be awarded the partner university’s degree.

first-hand about the experiences of our students:
08 STUDENT TESTIMONIALS
“IDP is one of the best pathways I've ever chosen. It does not only provide me with professional lecturers, up-to-date facilities and equipment, high-tech teaching methods but also a multi-cultural learning environment. Most importantly, I was able to learn, improve and refine my language skills as well as problem solving skills after studying abroad as I needed to adapt to the new environment by using new languages and intercultural skills. As such, I gained a lot of confidence by the end of the course. To sum it up, studying at UQ exposed me to a lot of different experiences, which are very valuable now and useful for my future career”
Ms Wu Hui Loo (Malaysia) | Bachelor of Science, Food Science and Nutrition
University of Queensland, Australia
“Transferring to the University of Manitoba (UM) was one of the best decisions I have ever
made because much emphasis is placed on the quality of education and there are facilities that any student might desire. UM is a place where students are trained and raised under the supervision of professionals. I personally believe that UM is not only a wonderful place to seek education sensibly, but is also the perfect place to exchange cultural knowledge with students from all around the world and socialise in a friendly and peaceful environment. UM is a place that equips students with technical and practical knowledge and nurtures them to become experts in their fields. Finally, I would like to thank UCSI for providing students with such opportunities: To have a chance to experience life and education more tangibly in other universities with rich histories.”
Mr Alireza S Shirazi (Iran) | Bachelor of Engineering, Civil Engineering
University of Manitoba, Canada
“The IDP programme at UCSI was very helpful, as there is a wide range of affiliations and
choices. Also, it provides opportunities to meet-and-greet representatives from other universities
and provides guidance on the application process as well. UQ is a great university with
world-renowned professors who encourage students to challenge themselves. Campus life is
also interesting.”
Finnber Out Mkpouto (Nigeria) | Master in Communication
University of Queensland, Australia
“Studying in Kozminski University (KU), Poland through the Erasmus student exchange
programme by IDP is exciting and memorable as students are encouraged to express their
opinions having rich knowledge on current issues. I would like to recommend this programme
to my peers as this has broadened my view of the world and my social circle as I have made new
friends around the world. My life skills have also improved as I have to deal with problems in an
unfamiliar environment. Other than studying, UCSI has also encouraged me to make plans for
my future while the internship programme exposed me to the real life working environment.”
