McClellen School Performs

The children that took part in the performance are Aiden, Alexa, Jazmine,Jaden, Katherine, Aidan, Antonio C., Gianni, Serenity, Jose, Tyler, Michael,Shamyah, Destiny, Valeria, Ilhan, Andrea, Adam-John, Trinity, Isaiah, Jalyn,Anotonio M., Genevieve, Kaylee, Samyah, Edurado, Mariah and Miya.

On October 3rd, the second grade students at McClellan Elementary School per-formed the play “The Strongest One”. Students read the play in their literacy block.

“The Strongest One” is a story about a little red ant looking for the strongest fig-ure in the world. Eventually, he realized that everything is stronger than somethingelse. Even though ants are small, in some ways they are the strongest of all.

Students have learned very important lessons about everyone having their ownstrength and we should not underestimate others. Second grade teacher, Ms. Zhang, has also taught students how to read with emotion before the performance.

Students practiced and rehearsed the play and on the last day of the unit, studentsperformed. The aim of reading, learning, understanding and performing “TheStrongest One”, at McClellan Elementary, was to help students build their self-con-fidence.
