Opening on Broadway is a dream come true for the ThornapplePlayers. The Dennison Performing Arts Center, in the formerFirst Presbyterian Church will open next weekend — on the

corner of Broadway and Center Street in Hastings. The center willopen with the rousing, tap-dance-filled musical “42nd Street.” Actorshave not only been in rehearsal but in renovation mode as costumes,props, sound and lighting have been moved and installed in the newvenue. The Dennison Performing Arts Center not only affords theThornapple Players a permanent home but is also available for a hostof events, specials, concerts or lectures.
