The HARWOOD in Ten Minutes Guide is created to educate the community on where to bike, walk, or drive within ten minutes of HARWOOD’s best restaurants, bars, museums, retail spots, and parks. After its third edition, the community has relied on this guide to discover and revisit the many places which make Uptown Dallas and HARWOOD The Place to Be. Now a 17-city-block district, HARWOOD will continue to grow to satisfy the demand of existing and new customers in 17 phases that includes over seven million square feet of condominium, office, retail, and residential development.

I love the laid-back, eclectic, Austin-feel of it and despite the undeniable crowd on a nice afternoon or evening, it never fails as a place to relax and have a few cold ones with friends and fellow dog lovers! I’m also looking forward to the upcoming Harwood Katy Trailhead and the Harwood Village that will provide many more restaurants and fun venues off of the Katy Trail.

This 3.5 mile long urban forest has been offering city dwellers a dose of green since 2000. This restored vintage electric streetcar service runs between Downtown Arts District and the McKinney Avenue area in Uptown, showing its riders a multitude of restaurants, galleries and shops. The route stretches four miles from the Dallas Museum of Art along St. Paul and McKinney to north of Blackburn. Cars run every 20 minutes, and more often in peak times. It is an amusing way to tour the area and has been considered a Dallas favorite.
