This 3.5 mile long urban forest has been offering city dwellers a dose of green since 2000. It’s located just north of downtown among residential high-rises, shopping complexes and streets but parts of the trail make you swear you’re in a state park. This restored vintage electric streetcar service runs between Downtown Arts District and the McKinney Avenue area in Uptown, showing its riders a multitude of restaurants, galleries and shops. The route stretches four miles from the Dallas Museum of Art along St. Paul and McKinney to north of Blackburn. Cars run every 20 minutes, and more often in peak times. It is an amusing way to tour the area and has been considered a Dallas favorite.
