disease/illness and/or post surgery.Scar tissue can form, impeding range of motion and function. Cross fi ber friction, myofascial release, deep tissue and trigger point therapy helps with the breaking down of these barriers.
Andrew Wolfe, LMP performs passive remedial
movement of right shoulder region.
All muscles attach to bones (ligament/tendon). Th ese attachments can often become torn and/or tight and adhesive in the soft tissue. Th ey are the fi rst line of defense to engage when
injured or strained. Th ey are the fl exible pivots of the articulation of the muscles allowing the joints their full range of motion. Working these attachments points are an important component in healing the muscle recovery and increasing the range of motion/function.
Andrew Wolfe LMP, performs scapula release.
Most soft tissue injuries and ailments can be helped by massage therapy to recovery and/or improve function and range of motion, decrease pain and infl ammation and reducing and/or eliminate scar tissue. Massage therapy is no longer confi ned to a “feel good” modality. Most major health insurance companies, as well as Labor & Industries, recognize the benefi ts of medical massage therapy and its role in helping to relieve pain as well as mediate recent or chronic ailments. (Check your individual health plan for benefi ts and/or restrictions).
