High performance transformers for high performance buildingsWith the renewed focus on energy efficient
high performance building projects,
MIRUS understands the need for high
efficiency, non-linear load compatible
transformers that deliver on their promises.
And unlike conventional Energy Star
transformers, which are only optimized
for high efficiency under light loads (35%)
and linear loading (60 Hz), MIRUS High
Performance Transformers (HPTs) maintain
their high efficiency under both linear
and non-linear loading over the practical
range of 35% to 65% load. To ensure
performance levels are met, we factory
test our transformers for efficiency under
both linear and non-linear loading with
independent third party verification of these
results. With built-in harmonic mitigation
technology, HPTs improve power quality
by preventing potentially damaging voltage
distortion from developing.
Meeting the VFD harmonic challenge As the use of variable frequency drives
(VFDs) has increased rapidly in recent
years, the concern over current harmonic
levels generated by them has increased
as well. Traditional methods of harmonic
treatment are often unreliable, too costly

Making non-linear loads linearSince the introduction of switch-mode
power supplies (SMPS) in computers,
broadcasting equipment and other power
electronic devices, electrical engineers
have looked for a cost effective way of
dealing with both the current and voltage
harmonic distortion these power supplies
create. The ONICS Harmonic Mitigating
Remote Panelboard (HMRP) by MIRUS
treats all four of the major current harmonics
created by SMPS. The HMRP integrates
our harmonic mitigating technology with
two 42-circuit distribution panelboards,
optional monitoring and transient voltage
surge suppression (TVSS) in an attractive,
easy-to-install package – eliminating
overheating of distribution transformers
and their neutral conductors. The HMRP

Since 1991, Mirus International Inc. has been a supplier of specialized power quality products to reduce or eliminate harmonic problems and save energy in electrical power distribution systems worldwide. As true innovators, our unique approach to harmonic mitigation has produced many patented designs useful in addressing the problems associated with harmonic generating non-linear loads such as personal computers, telecom equipment, broadcasting equipment and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
Our strength is in our technical expertise as problem solvers. Principals at the company have been successfully resolving difficult power quality problems for decades. This includes the first application of a zero sequence harmonic filter for the removal of heavy 3rd harmonic current in a high tech manufacturing facility in 1986. Our Neutral Current Eliminator, or NCE, is a refined version of this first device.
We are the original inventors of Harmonic Mitigating Transformers which combine low zero phase sequence impedance with phase shifting to treat harmonics generated by non-linear loads. This strategy not only improves power quality by reducing voltage distortion and flat-topping but also saves energy by lowering the harmonic losses within the transformer and upstream distribution system. The following terms and conditions govern the sale of all products (“Products”) by MIRUS International Inc. (“MIRUS”) to its customers (the “Customer”) and cannot be changed or modified unless agreed to by MIRUS in writing: 1. Orders: Orders must be made by means of a signed purchase order. All orders are subject to acceptance by MIRUS. 2. Price: Prices are as specified in the quotation prepared by MIRUS, or, if no price is quoted, the prices are those set out
in MIRUS’ current price list at the time MIRUS accepts the applicable order. MIRUS’ price list is subject to change without notice. Unless otherwise stated, price quotations automatically expire thirty (30) days from the date issued and may be cancelled or amended at any time within that period upon MIRUS giving written notice to the Customer. Any price quotation applies only to the quantities of Product indicated. Orders for different quantities of the Products may be subject to price changes and should be confirmed with MIRUS prior to placing an order. Unless otherwise indicated, all prices are exclusive of transportation and insurance costs and do not include any applicable federal, state or provincial sales or value-added taxes or import duties.
3. Payment: Subject to MIRUS’ approval of the Customer for payment on credit, all invoices are due thirty (30) days from
the invoice date unless otherwise specified on the attached invoice. Daily interest will be charged on overdue invoices from the due date until payment in full at the rate of 1.5% per month (18% per annum). MIRUS reserves the right to establish and/or change credit and payment terms extended to the Customer when, in MIRUS’ sole opinion, the Customer’s financial condition or previous payment record warrants. If the Customer defaults in any payment when due, MIRUS shall not be obliged to continue performance under any agreement with the Customer. For international orders outside of United States and/or Canada, payment is due in advance and must be issued by wire transfer or irrevocable letter of credit in U.S. funds when the purchase order is issued to MIRUS.
4. Delivery: Delivery of the Products will be complete and risk of loss and damage to the Products will pass to the
Customer upon the Products being made available for pick-up at MIRUS’ facilities. The purchaser is responsible for arranging insurance and transportation of the Products beyond MIRUS’ facilities. In no event will MIRUS be liable for any delay in delivery.
5. Title Retention: Title and ownership of the Products shall remain with MIRUS, at the Customer’s risk, until the
purchase price is paid in full. 6. Returns Policy: The Customer may return Products to MIRUS for a refund or credit towards future purchases subject to
the following terms and conditions:
(a) The Customer must notify MIRUS of its desire to return the Products within seven (7) days of the Products being delivered to the Customer;
(b) The Customer must pay MIRUS a restocking charge equal to: (i) for standard Products which are likely to be resold (as determined by MIRUS in its discretion), forty percent
(40%) of the Products’ price; (ii) for non-standard or special-order Products which are not likely to be resold (as determined by MIRUS in its
discretion), returns may be refused unless agreed upon by MIRUS and the Customer at the time of sale. If agreed to by MIRUS, the restocking fee will be determined by MIRUS at its sole discretion;
(c) The Customer must obtain a return authorization number from MIRUS prior to returning the Products; (d) The Customer shall pay all transportation and insurance charges in relation to returning the Products; (e) MIRUS reserves the right to adjust the amount of any refund or credit given to the Customer based on the condition
of the Products at the time they are returned to MIRUS.
7. Changes and Cancellations: Orders accepted by MIRUS are not subject to changes or cancellation by the Customer, except with MIRUS’ written consent. In such cases where MIRUS authorizes changes or cancellation, MIRUS reserves the right to charge the Customer with reasonable costs based upon expenses already incurred and commitments made by MIRUS, including without limitation, any labour done, material purchased, overhead and reasonable profit and also including all of the cancellation charges from MIRUS’ suppliers.
8. Warranty & Remedy: MIRUS’ warranty in relation to the Products and the Customer’s sole and exclusive remedies in
the event of breach of the applicable warranty are as set forth in the applicable Warranty and Performance Guarantee attached hereto (the “Warranty”).

9. No Other Warranties: The Warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty given by MIRUS in connection with the Products. MIRUS expressly disclaims all other warranties, conditions and obligations in relation to the Products, expressed or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of Liability: MIRUS will not be liable to the Customer for any indirect, special or consequential damages,
including, without limitation, loss of anticipated profits, business interruption, loss of opportunity, loss of information, or any other economic loss suffered or incurred as a result of the use or inability to use the Products, whether such loss or damage may be based upon principles of contract, warranty, negligence or other tort, breach of any statutory duty, principles of indemnity or contribution, the failure of any limited or exclusive remedy to achieve its essential purpose or otherwise, even if MIRUS has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event will the liability of MIRUS for all claims in relation to the Products exceed the aggregate amount of all payments actually received by MIRUS for the Products which are the subject of any dispute.
11. Force Majeure: MIRUS will not be responsible for any delay or failure in performance of any part of this Agreement to
the extent that the delay or failure is caused by fire, flood, explosion, war, strike, embargo, government requirement, civil or military authority, act of God, act of terrorism, act or omission of carriers or other similar causes beyond its control.
12. Entire Agreement: This Agreement (including any document incorporated herein by reference) constitutes the entire
agreement between the parties hereto with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all previous agreements, representations, warranties, covenants, or understandings in respect thereof. There are no representations, warranties, covenants, agreements, undertakings or collateral understandings, oral or otherwise, expressed or implied, of any kind between the parties except as contained herein.
13. Governing Law & Forum: This Agreement and all transactions in relation to it shall be governed and construed in
accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any suits, actions or proceedings arising in relation to this Agreement shall be instituted only in the courts of the province of Ontario and the parties waive any objection they may have to such venue, provided that any award rendered may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.

Harmonic Mitigating Product Limited Warranty and Performance Guarantee 1. Warranty: MIRUS International Inc. (“MIRUS”) warrants to the end-user (the “Customer”) of any new MIRUS
product (the “Product”) as follows:
(a) For the Products listed below (the “10 Year pro-rated Warranty Products”), the Product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship and will perform as advertised to reduce harmonic distortion caused by non-linear loads for a period of ten (10) years from the date of delivery:
(a) Neutral Current Eliminator™ (NCE™) (b) Combined Neutral Current Eliminator™ (CNCE™) (c) Harmony™ Series Harmonic Mitigating Transformers (d) ULLTRA™ Series High Performance Transformers (e) Drive Tamer™ Drive Isolation Transformers (f) 5-7, 11-13 and 5-13 Eliminators™ (g) Drive 12/24™, Drive 18™ and Drive 24™ Phase Shifting Autotransformers
(b) For all Products other than 10 Year pro-rated Warranty Products, the Product will be free from defects in materials
and workmanship and will perform as advertised to reduce harmonic distortion caused by non-linear loads for a period equal to the lesser of one (1) year from the date of installation or eighteen (18) months from the date of shipment.
2. Limitation: The foregoing warranties shall not apply and shall be void with respect to any Product that has been subject
to misuse, abuse, accident, disaster, or which has been operated contrary to MIRUS’s instructions relating to installation, maintenance, use or operation.
3. Exclusive Remedy. If any Product does not conform with the warranties set out above (a “Defective Product”), the
Customer must notify MIRUS of the Defective Product within the applicable warranty period and obtain a written return material authorization (an “RMA”) from MIRUS. If the Product cannot be repaired on site, the Customer must return the Defective Product to MIRUS, freight prepaid, within sixty (60) days of receipt of the RMA and must include a copy of MIRUS’ paid invoice for the Defective Product and a description of the Defective Product’s failure. If MIRUS agrees that the returned Product is a Defective Product, MIRUS’ exclusive obligation and liability shall be as follows:
(a) For 10 Year pro-rated Warranty Products, MIRUS will, in MIRUS’ sole discretion, repair or replace the Defective
Product on a pro-rated basis. If the Defective Product is replaced, the following will apply:
(i) If the Product is determined to be defective by MIRUS in the first year after delivery, MIRUS will provide a replacement unit free of charge;
(ii) If the Product is determined to be defective later than the first year after delivery and up to the tenth year after delivery, the Customer must pay 10% of the original purchase price commencing in the second year after delivery plus an additional 10% of the original purchase price for each year thereafter up to the tenth year after delivery;
(b) For all Products other than 10 Year pro-rated Warranty Products, MIRUS will, in MIRUS’ sole discretion, either
repair or replace the Defective Product;
THE FOREGOING IS THE CUSTOMER’S SOLE AND EXLUSIVE REMEDY FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY BY MIRUS WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCTS.
4. Replacement or Repaired Product Warranty: Any replacement Products and any Defective Products which are
repaired and returned to the Customer shall be warranted as set forth herein for the remainder of the applicable warranty period of the original Product or for three (3) months, whichever is greater.
5. Condition of Defective Product: MIRUS reserves the right to adjust the amount of any refund or credit given to
the Customer for a Defective Product based on the condition of the Product at the time it is returned to MIRUS.

THE LINEATOR™ Advanced Universal Harmonic Filter Warranty and Performance Guarantee 1. Warranty: MIRUS International Inc. (“MIRUS”) warrants to the end-user (the “Customer”) of the LINEATOR™
Advanced Universal Harmonic Filter (“AUHF”) as follows:
(a) The LINEATOR™ AUHF will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of 3 years from the date of shipment; and
(b) The LINEATOR™ AUHF will perform as advertised to reduce harmonic distortion caused by AC Variable Speed Drives and other non-linear loads equipped with 3-phase, 6-pulse, diode bridge rectifiers. A properly selected and installed LINEATOR™ will:
(i) Reduce Current Total Harmonic Distortion (ITHD), measured at the LINEATOR™ input terminals at full load,
to: (1.) < 8% when background voltage distortion is < 5% and voltage imbalance is < 3% (2.) < 5% when short circuit ratio (Isc/IL), as defined by IEEE Std 519, is < 20 and when background voltage
distortion is < 0.5% and voltage imbalance is < 1% (ii) Reduce Current Total Demand Distortion (ITDD), measured at the LINEATOR™ input terminals over its entire
operating range, to levels defined in Item 1 above. ITDD is defined as the ratio of ITHD divided by the full load current (peak demand current) of the Lineator™.
(iii) Minimize the contribution to Voltage Harmonic Distortion of all VSD’s equipped with the LINEATOR™ to < 5% total and < 3% for individual harmonics, as defined by IEEE Std 519-1992.
(iv) NOT become overloaded by other upstream harmonic sources. (v) NOT resonate with other power system components. (vi) NOT have compatibility problems with engine generator sets properly sized for the load.
2. Limitation: The foregoing warranties shall not apply and shall be void if the LINEATOR™ AUHF has been subject to
misuse, abuse, accident, disaster, or has been operated contrary to MIRUS’ instructions relating to installation, maintenance, use or operation.
3. Exclusive Remedy: If the LINEATOR™ AUHF does not conform with the warranties set out above, the Customer
must notify MIRUS of the defective unit within the applicable warranty period and obtain a written return material authorization (an “RMA”) from MIRUS. The Customer must return the defective unit to MIRUS, freight prepaid, within sixty (60) days of receipt of the RMA and must include a copy of MIRUS’ paid invoice for the defective unit and a description of the defective unit’s failure to conform. If MIRUS agrees that the returned unit is defective, MIRUS’ entire obligation and liability shall be, in MIRUS’ sole discretion, to repair or replace the defective unit or give a full refund of the purchase price to the Customer.
THE FOREGOING IS THE CUSTOMER’S SOLE AND EXLUSIVE REMEDY FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY BY MIRUS WITH RESPECT TO THE LINEATOR™ AUHF.
