11:00 AM ADULT CLASS Book of Micah - Room 1 (downstairs) This study features a verse-by-verse examination of the book of Micah who prophesied from approximately 737–696 BC. We look at the promised judgment for Samaria and Jerusalem, the judgment on leaders including blessings from the ultimate leader (Jesus Christ) and how and why the judgment was justified. In close looks at Hosea, Joel, Amos, and Obadiah, we discover that their messages went largely unheeded. However, Micah's warnings were not ignored and repentance followed. Judgment was held off nearly 100 years! Can a modern-day Micah make a difference today? We'll look closely at what Micah said and whether or not applying the lessons of his time to today will postpone what many see as the judgment which seems very close to us now. Come join us! I don't know how many of you have heard of Rabbi Jonathan Cahn. If ever America had a prophet, I believe Rabbi Cahn is one. He spoke at the inaugural prayer breakfast, and, as usual, he did not hold back. Although his speech was very long, it is worth listening to. I will quote just a few parts of it here. He recalls one of America's founders, John Winthrop, saying that "if America follows the ways of God, the Lord will command His blessing upon

us... and make her as a city on a hill, to which the eyes of all people will look." Rabbi Cahn reminds us that only two civilizations came into existence on the solitary foundation stone of God's calling and purposes. The first was Israel and the second was America. America's first governments were established in the name of Jesus and for the glory of God. The public school system was founded for the purpose of teaching the Word of God. America became the most blessed, most prosperous, most powerful nation in the world...a praise and a glory in the earth. I was praying for a gentleman after his kidney transplant, praying for healing, for protection from infection and most of all that his body would not reject the kidney that his dear wife had

donated. Out of love for her husband, she put herself at risk to be his donor. She risked those

risks of any surgery, infection and other complications. And now, without a backup kidney, she risks her own life if her remaining kidney should be damaged. If his body doesn’t “accept” the

donated kidney, there is no life for him without the artificial support of dialysis, and her donation

would be in vain. Thinking about all this increased my fervency in prayer for them.

Having an “Aha! Moment,” I saw a parallel. Jesus died so that we could have a heart transplantheart transplantheart transplantheart transplant————a

“heart of flesh” to replace a “heart of stone” (Ezekiel 11:19). Our eternal life depends upon “the body” accepting His sacrifice and not rejecting the gift.

We must nurse the unsaved carefully so they don’t reject Jesus’ sacrifice for their “heart

transplant.” How sad if our unconcern or poor testimony makes them a poor surgical risk—so to speak.

her and her family. Pray for wisdom for the doctors in treating her. 4. KRIS BOWER’S KRIS BOWER’S KRIS BOWER’S KRIS BOWER’S cancer marker number has gone up from 44.2 last month to 263.2 this month. She will see

the doctor at Women’s Cancer Care of Seattle on the 7th of February. She is sure she will be put back on chemo. Please keep her in prayer. Pray for comfort and peace for her and Jim.

5. Pray for a man named JIM HANSON JIM HANSON JIM HANSON JIM HANSON who was diagnosed with Thymus cancer. He is having chemo. Pray for strength and peace for him and his family.
