It’s only the beginning…

The year 2008 has been an awesome experience for me as an author. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe

my stories would be put into a form that would allow readers to hold them in their hands, let alone purchase one of them. But now, in the season of giving, I wanted

to give you all something back.

I decided to create this newsletter for an update as to where my current novels and upcoming stories stand. This way you can all see how my past story, The Civilization Loop, current story, Recreant, and future stories are all coming together and what stage of development they are in. Enjoy!

Getting startedBack in December of 2006, I would have never dreamed by December 2008 I would have two novels published! The summer of 2006 saw me taking on a hobby for the first time in my life that I wanted to try and take more seriously. The results have been awe inspiring.

The Civilization Loop was published in November, 2007 and has seen very good success since that time. I will highlight this success on page 3.

Additionally, I had my first book signing of my career as a writer at my parent’s shop on December 8, 2007. Despite the busy holiday season, the signing was a huge success.

On February 29, 2008, I got to entertain some very sweet and intriguing ladies that were part of The Friday Afternoon Book Club with my first novel. This club has been meeting every Friday afternoon since 1928. So I felt honored to even be asked to come.

Halloween horror was taken to a whole new level in 2008, with the publication of my spine-tingling tale, Recreant. From what most have said, who have read it so far, the attempt was not a futile one. There couldn’t have been a more appropriate time of year for the official release.

With this book, not only did I have a signing at my parent’s shop that was successful, but I also had my first bookstore signing at Barnes and Noble on Haywood Road in Greenville, SC. Arrangements are currently being made to try and have a signing at another Barnes and Noble location. No matter what happens there, it’s been a great ride so far!

The Civilization Loop has had widespread appeal. To date it has sold over 200 copies. That is not including electronic sales through AmazonKindle. The idea is growing in popularity and people from all walks of life are intrigued by the story.

So far, since the release of Recreant on October 27, 2008, the book has done fairly well.

At the signing at my parent’s shop, it sold 20+ copies and is still selling now. You can go there to purchase your own, signed copy of Recreant today.

The Barnes and Noble signing was also a success. I only sold 3 copies, but the exposure was outstanding. Numerous people came up to meet this new, up and coming author.

Recreant: What are you afraid of?The book signing event was also mentioned in blurbs in both The Greenville News and Independent Mail, online and in the newspapers. A radio advertisement for the signing was also aired during the week of the event at Barnes and Noble.

And the story continues…

The Eternal Loop: No Beginning…No End…As I was writing the first sequel to The Civilization Loop I came to realize something. Beyond the Loop isn’t a sequel at all. The second installment of the Loopingthrutime Trilogy was a prequel/parallel in essence, going back and telling the story of how October came to be from a different perspective. The true sequel to my first book I have ever written is in fact The Eternal Loop.

With the third installment you will once again connect with Bobby Peterson and his intrepid team of scientists, this time in the 31st century. That’s right! As the final chapter of The Civilization Loop suggests, the Millennial Reign of Christ has ensued and those that have died are now risen. Their new lives have been open to an existence beyond all comprehension. They can go any where, any place, but not any time? Time travel has become a thing of the past. In a realm of existence in the presence of Christ, what would be the point? But as this story picks up where Beyond the Loop leaves off, time travel is at the forefront once more. There’s one reason for this and one reason alone, Satan has an agenda.

At the end of the “thousand years” of peace on Earth, Satan is pulling out all the stops. If someone told you today that tomorrow it was going to be a foregone conclusion you were going to lose no matter what you did, how would you take it? Would you simply roll over and accept your fate, or would you do everything in your power to prove them wrong? Knowing Satan’s character, which do you think will happen?

The final battle of good and evil will ensue. It will be triggered by the most unexpected of things, a TDA. This new journey will force the resurgence of the time team in an effort to save all existence once again. They’ll travel through time. They’ll travel across space. They’ll travel between universes. They’ll try to solve the mystery of Satan’s ploy. They’ll encounter new myths, old enemies and create new legends. All of their activity will be a quest to fulfill the final, ultimate prophecy for the ages. Ushering in eternity is no small feat. It will require strength, perseverance, faith, hope, and most of all love.

Beliefs will be shattered and then reborn. Faith will be tested and then rekindled. Once you come face-to-face with the essence of everything, alone, how will you perceive it and will you be able to accept it?

Look for The Eternal Loop: No Beginning…No End… sometime in 2010 or 2011.

A New Journey Begins…

What is to come…Beyond the Loop?So what is the next story you might ask? That’s a simple question for me to answer, because I have not written just one, but two follow-ups to The Civilization Loop.

Editing has only begun as the next installment, Beyond the Loop, is well underway. This story will delve deeper into the mysterious villain Willis October. You’ll learn how he obtained his time device, the journey he went on, and his ultimate fate. You’ll also see the intricate connections of how time travel is possible, what the Second Coming has to do with the first story and ultimately where the saga will end.

October’s journey is a unique one. Even more unique in that October is essentially two separate people, as depicted in The Civilization Loop. But as interesting as this character was, his past and his nature were often times vague. All will be revealed in this new tale that has the malicious October running a gauntlet through time itself.

He will experience the fury of Hitler and the Third Reich. He’ll witness a historical achievement of Biblical proportions. His influence and presence will be felt in all aspects of history from the White Chapel District, to the District of Columbia. He’ll turn Area 51 upside down, betray his comrades and plunge the world into a chaotic final end.

Life is a series of choices, choices that define who we are. The decisions we all make can vastly affect the outcome of not only our own lives, but the lives of people we may never even know. But in addition to our own choices, that we do perceive as being our own, there are plans that have been made and laid out for a duration we can never comprehend. October never believed in this idea of “fate”, yet he wanted to make certain our fate was sealed. Now you will witness the essence of unbridled decision making and just how important our choices are in this life…and the next.

The man was William Strange, aka Willis October. The myth was his own existence. The legend is the story he has left behind. In the wake of solving history’s mysteries, a new yarn has been spun. Look for Beyond the Loop: The Journey of Willis October, the man, the myth, the legend sometime in 2009 or 2010, as you take your own journey into the life of a man that no longer exists.

The Future is Bright!There’s no end in sight for this author! I have already finished manuscripts for Beyond the Loop and The Eternal Loop. I will be spending this time to edit both and hopefully have the first of these out by late 2009 or early 2010.

In addition, I am working on several other stand alone projects that are only in the beginning stages of development. I will keep you updated on how each is turning out via my web sites or newsletters. Read on and enjoy!
