In all humility, our members render selfless services so that rich

traditions of biradari can be followed and always remain at the

forefront in the service of community. To take the mission ahead,

our Sabha distributed about 600 school bags to the school going

children in the educational institutions in slum and rural areas of

tricity. In different schools different teams of the executive

members managed the distribution of bags. The gesture of Sood

Sabha Chandigarh received wide publicity and applause from

one and all.

Sood Sabha, Chandigarh is organizing 54th “Sood Milan Divas”

on the 18th December 2016 at Sood Bhawan, Panchkula. Such

occasions provides us an opportunity of meeting and creating

close affinity amongst Sood families residing in and around

Chandigarh. Sh. Arun Sood, Mayor - City Beautiful Chandigarh

has acceded to our request to be the Chief Guest on the occasion.

It is a matter of great pleasure and privilege for me to be

the Chairman of the organizing Committee for the

forthcoming 54th Sood Milan Divas to be held on

Sunday the 18th December, 2016 at Sood Bhawan,

Sector 10, Panchkula.

The occasion offers interesting events for all sections of Biradari. While

the tiny tots vie for the crown of Sood Prince and Sood Princess, the

young children show their talent in painting, fancy dress, cultural

activities. The occasion also serves as important platform for the parents

to scout for eligible matches for sons/daughters. Meritorious students

who have excelled in academics and sports at various levels are also

honoured on the day.

54th “Sood Milan Divas” is being organized on 18th

December, 2016 at Sood Bhawan, Panchkula and it is a

matter of immense pleasure that Sh. Arun Sood Mayor of

City Beautiful, Chandigarh has acceded to our request to

be the ‘Chief Guest’ for the occasion.

We convey our gratitude to Sood biradari whose gems

have brought laurels to biradari in many ways. It is a

matter of great pride and honour that Chandigarh’s Mayor- 1st citizen Sh.

Arun Sood belongs to Sood biradari. He is well loved and prolific man of

numerous works that are now considered landmarks.

He was born on 22nd May, 1971 to a noble personality Sh. Shanti Nath

Sood Ji and pious lady Smt. Raman Sood Ji at Moga. Arun Ji did his

schooling from Moga and passed his B.Sc. & L.L.B. from Punjab University,

Chandigarh. Now he is leading a prosperous & a successful life with his

wife Mrs. Ambika who hails from Shimla, son Akshay & daughter

Akshadha.

Sh. Arun’s political career started in the year 1987 on joining RSS. He

joined ABVP in the year 1989 and BJP’s youth wing as General Secretary in

the year 2000. In the progressive years he worked for BJP enthusiastically

and loyally. In reorganization of his hard work and dedication, he was

elected councillor from ward No. 8, comprising of sector 37, 38 and 38

(West) since 2011. Above all at the age of 45 years, was elected Mayor of

City Beautiful Chandigarh - which in it self is a big achievement.

Sood Biradari & Sood Sabha, Chandigarh is proud of him and sincerely

wish that Sh. Arun Ji may achieve many more milestones and laurels in the

times to come.

Sood Sabha ,Chandigarh has lost his stalwart Sh. Kuldip

Rai Sood. He left for his heavenly abode on

3rd September 2016 at the age of 83 years. Sh. Sood

was not been keeping good health for the last 4-5

years ,but was involved in his routine activities of Sood

Sabha and Society for the care of the Blind ,

Chandigarh

Late Sh. Kuldip Rai Sood was born in Burma (Presently Myanmar) on 3rd

September 1933. He lost his parents at the age of 2 years ,he had to face a

lot of hardships in his childhood. Despite all , he stood firm and did his post

graduation in English. Thereafter ,he was appointed as a Head Master in a

Govt. School in Jalandhar district. Fulfilling his duties with zeal and vigour ,

he always had a strong hold on the administration and efficient

education system of the institution with which he was related. He

inculcated similar values in all his three children and grand children too.

He was a pillar of strength for his brothers and sisters. Having served the

education department of Punjab for 32 years ,he was finally promoted as

District Education Officer of Chandigarh in the year 1986 and retired as

Deputy Director ,Education Department (Punjab) in the year 1991.

After his retirement , he joined the Institute ,Society for the Care of Blind ,

Sector 26 ,Chandigarh as a Principal. He worked with great zeal and

assured that blind children are imparted education of the highest level to

make them independent. Till his last , he was totally dedicated in the

service of humanity.

His association with Sood Sabha has also been long dating back till his last

day. He was always very enthusiastic with all the engagements of the

Sabha. Being the Senior Vice President of the Sood Sabha Chandigarh ,he

was always willing to lend his helping hand as and when required.

NATIVE DESI COWS

In India, we honour cow like a mother. Because Indian cows, like a

mother gives A2 type of protein which is similar to a mother's milk.

There are 37 types of Indigenous cows and in all of them the

hump is predominant. Though they may not yield as much milk

as the Holstein and Jersey types, scientific research has proven

that the Indigenous breeds are more superior. The hump of

Indigenous cow is pyramid in shape, which attracts powerful

cosmic energy. Indigenous cows have a longer spinal column

and hence its milk has a tinge of gold (swarnakshar) in it.

Indigenous cow's milk is so exceptional that children prefer it as the only substitute

to their mother's milk. The uniqueness of the Indigenous cow lies in the fact that

every product of cow like milk, dung, ghee and urine is beneficial.

ADDITIONAL FACTS:

1. One litre milk contains vitamins equivalent to eight eggs or half kg meat or

three fourth kg of fish. It is also easily digested.

2. It is tasty, cool and nutritious.

3. Indigenous Cow urine has medicinal and disinfectant properties.

4. Indigenous cow urine contains sulphur, nitrogen, phosphorus, iron,

sodium, potassium, copper, manganese and carbolic acid.

5. Indigenous cow urine when preserved in a glass bottle does not corrode or

deteriorate unlike that of a jersey cow. It contains 24 types of salts and the

medicines made from cow urine are used to cure several diseases.

6. Indigenous cow urine serves as an effective insecticide and helps in keeping

the plant evergreen.

7. Indigenous cow dung is natural and serves as bio-degradable manure.

8. The dried cow dung contains methol, indol, salammoniac, phenol and

formalin. It also contains vitamin B12 in large quantities.

9. It is believed that the smell of fresh cow dung repells viruses.

10. Scientific research has proved that the ability of the Indigenous cow dung to

promote bacteria for the growth of crops is double.
