Message: Jesus Serves Fillet of Soul
Series: Going Viral
John 21:1-17
1Later, Jesus appeared again to the disciples beside the Sea of Galilee. This is how it
happened. 2 Several of the disciples were there—Simon Peter, Thomas (nicknamed the
Twin), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples. 3 Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing.” “We’ll come, too,” they all said. So they went out in the
boat, but they caught nothing all night.4 At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the
disciples couldn’t see who he was. 5 He called out, “Fellows, have you caught any fish?” “No,”
they replied.6 Then he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll
get some!” So they did, and they couldn’t haul in the net because there were so many fish in it. 7 Then the disciple Jesus loved said to Peter, “It’s the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was
the Lord, he put on his tunic (for he had stripped for work), jumped into the water, and headed
to shore. 8 The others stayed with the boat and pulled the loaded net to the shore, for they were
only about a hundred yards from shore. 9 When they got there, they found breakfast waiting for
them—fish cooking over a charcoal fire, and some bread. 10 “Bring some of the fish you’ve just
caught,” Jesus said. 11 So Simon Peter went aboard and dragged the net to the shore. There were
153 large fish, and yet the net hadn’t torn.12 “Now come and have some breakfast!” Jesus said.
None of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Then Jesus
served them the bread and the fish. 14 This was the third time Jesus had appeared to his disciples
since he had been raised from the dead.15 After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son
of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.”
“Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him.16 Jesus repeated the question: “Simon son of John, do you
love me?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.” “Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus
said.17 A third time he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt that
Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love
you. ”Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep.
Graduation 2020!!!
Hello Church family! I am trusting and praying that all of you are doing well and staying safe. I simply cannot wait for us to all be back together and worshipping together very soon.
We find ourselves in a very peculiar time right now, but regardless of how “different” this season may be, and it is only a season, life goes on. With that said, part of life, and a very exciting part of life, is GRADUATION. Our graduates and their families find themselves in completely uncharted waters right now. It is a time filled with great excitement, and great question as to what the future holds for each of them. However, regardless of what the circumstances are, our church family here at Central Church is still going to honor all of our gradates with excitement, anticipation, and the utmost gratitude for the Father allowing us to be a part of these students lives. As you know, things can change on a daily basis right now. Restrictions tighten, restrictions loosen. We never know, so that does make planning somewhat of a challenge. Nevertheless, we will press ahead as best we can. I am asking for some patience, and lot of grace, as we make our plans to create a memorable event for the student, and all of the families involved. As we move forward, we will have to make our plans according to the CDC restrictions and requirements in an effort to keep everyone as safe as possible. Right now, we are planning on the 1st Sunday in June, June 7th, as our Graduation Celebration. We will work towards that as our date, keeping in mind that things could possibly change. As we get closer to that date, we will definitely keep everyone updated. I apologize for seeming uncertain, but unfortunately these are the times we live in, and the way we have to plan.
There is some information that I'd like to get from each of you that would tremendously help us in our planning.
If you (or your student) are graduating or have already graduated this year from College or High School – please contact the church office to let us know the following:
(1) the graduates first & last name
(2) parents of the graduates names
(3) the date of your graduation
(4) the college/university/high school you are graduating from
(5) the college degree you will receive
(6) any distinguished honors/awards received (go on….. brag a little…) :-)
(7) plans for the near future…
College grads - career opportunities, travel, furthering education, etc.,;
High School grads - plans for college, work/career, armed services, travel, any other continued education;
(8) a phone number and email address so we can confirm if needed.
Please submit your info at any of the following:

Upcoming Opportunities For Spiritual Growth
Pastor J.F. is offering the following studies:
1) Grief Share: A 13 week seminar on recovery from loss and grief.
2) I Believe: A 12 week Bible study designed to dig deeper into the core teachings of the
Christian faith. This study would be helpful for new believers, committed Christ followers
who want to know more about their faith; and people wanting to grow stronger in their
faith.
Both of these classes are planned to be launched via Zoom (a computer platform that allows
you to call in and interact by video and audio from your home). This format will allow people to
participate in these studies from the safety of home to maintain proper health and social
distancing practices. If you are interested in either of these studies (which plan to launch in the
next few weeks), call the church office to register at (336) 629-1425

A BIG shout out and thank you to Don & Kathryn Barrett who meticulously set
up the Last Supper table in our sanctuary for our Easter Week Celebration! Thank
you for including all of the elements and table pieces. It made for a beautiful
backdrop. Don & Kathryn also broke everything down by themselves and stored
away. An undertaking no one would have ever known about…
Many of you also serve our church in unassuming ways. Simply -- a gift of
yourself, and we are grateful.
To God be the glory!!
