I hope you have because I’m NOT going to talk about it in this newslet- ter, other than to say “Kick It to the Side...PUT GOD UPFRONT! I’m just saying I’m ready to return to church, ministering to EVERYONE and not just a few. The truth is folks, we have allowed people who don’t follow the Worship of God to lead us astray from the Kingdom. We have put God in second place in our lives. In short, we have set aside our Worship and trust that He will keep us safe and wrapped in His arms, and allowed others to tell us how dangerous it will be to continue to seek after Him in Worship and Praise as recorded in Hebrews 10:24&25 . The writer of Hebrews is trying to warn us against straying from His commands. We read, “24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. 25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” The truth is, we need to be finding ways to encourage one another; to help as we face this pandemic to insure we DO NOT fall away. I hear ministers saying each week how grieved they are about the number of people who are not attending Worship. Our congregation has fallen off as well in attendance. And like I said earlier, I am NOT saying to disregard the CDC warnings/recommendations to remain healthy. I am just saying as Christians we have a responsibility to continue in our following the lead of the Holy Spirit, the commands of Jesus, and the will of our Father in heaven. Stop letting the fear of Covid dictate your Christian obligations. Call some- one today in your church family, invite them to ride along with you and return back to your first love the Worship of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. I have found it amazing at times what a half dozen or dozen cookies, a small pie or cake, or some special offering can make in a person’s life. May God bless us ALL! A SPECIAL “THANK YOU” to those who helped supply candy for this years Trunk and Treat. Every little effort to help let children know we care in the name of Jesus is appreciated. Not only candy was distributed, but also books and church flyers. Getting the message out about Salvation MUST be our goal! Have you borrowed some item from the church? From time to time we have people borrow items from the church to use either personally or in their homes. Example: Tables, Chairs, Carpet Cleaner, or a mobility help such as wheelchairs or walkers. We are happy to loan these if we have them to loan with the understanding the borrower will be FULLY responsible for its care and clean- ing before return. If you are wanting to borrow something, you MUST check with the office FIRST, arrange a time to pick up, and sign out the item on our worksheet. Your help keeps our items available and in good condition.
