TRANSCRIPT
Eligibility: The photography contest is open to Hamilton students who have been on a Hamilton program abroad or a Hamilton approved study abroad program between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012.
Photo Specifications: One photo may be submitted in digital format. The digital file should be in JPEG or JPG format, 5 MB or smaller, and at least 1600 pixels wide or 1600 pixels tall. The photo should not be digitally altered, although cropping is allowed. Black and white photos will also be accepted.
Essay Specifications: A description of the photo using 500 words or fewer must accompany the entry. The essay should be submitted in Microsoft Word format and should include the contestant’s name, class year, and phone number.
How to Enter: Students should log into Blackboard and click on the Worldview Photo Contest link. Only one photo and one essay may be uploaded per person.
Submission Deadline: Photo and essay submissions will be accepted through Blackboard March 1, 2013 – March 30, 2013.
Judging: Entries will be judged on photo and writing quality, and the ability to capture the spirit of an intercultural experience. Entries will be judged by a three-person panel comprised of one Hamilton faculty member, one Hamilton staff member, and one Hamilton student.
Prizes: First Place: $100 Visa gift card. Second place: $75 Visa gift card. Third place: $50 Visa gift card.
Display: Entries may be displayed on Off-Campus Study website and Facebook page. Winning entries will also be displayed in the Dean of Student’s Office.
