Hamamatsu Sukuinushi Kyokai (HSK) (Hama- matsu Church of the Savior) is a Protestant group of Christians who are very dependent on God! We believe He is great, good, and holy! Anyone who has a desire to know Him and seeks fellowship with others is welcome to attend th is church.

Dear Members and Friends of HSK: Almost every week I eat breakfast at a nearby restaurant with a Brazilian pastor who has become a good friend. We often talk about what is happening in all kinds of churches in Japan. In almost every conversation I learn something about Brazil. But I do not meet him to learn something about Brazil. Many times he does not enjoy telling me what he knows. Rather he talks about how multitudes desperately need God to solve their problems. He tells me how much he hopes the Lord will save multitudes of Japanese. In our last conversation he said, 'I need to pray more!' I like these conversations very much! Full of honesty! About 10 days ago, I was talking to my wife about a truth I shared with you recently....Sincerity of heart! I have been thinking about what would prevent me from becoming insincere or what would stop me from pretending. And I had this thought during that conversation with Ruth: Obedience to God's commandments is extremely important. The disciple, John, wrote this: 'By this we know that we love the children of God when we love God and observe His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments...'(1 John 5:2-3). Was John reminding us of how lawless Christians are? Was God revealing how disobedient Christians had become? No, I don't think so. Rather, whoever chooses to live by the rules of their culture will be forced to pretend, coerced to cheat,
threatened to keep quiet! But God showed this to the first Christians: 'By this we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments'(1 John 2:3). Often when I speak to you I have a kind of 'burden'. What do I mean? I have been praying for someone who is really sick and still is sick. I have been praying for someone who is being lied to or cheated and that person is hurting. I have been pleading with God to stop the virus that is killing people. I do not make myself smile when I speak to you...I am truly thankful and happy. I do not say fake words about God's deeds...He is working in ways I cannot see. And more often I stand in front of you feeling a little afraid...afraid of saying something God is not saying. I feel a little irritated...God seems to be working too slowly. But this is the truth: I am convinced that that you and I should be having more experiences that reveal the glory of God on this planet! So be sure not to forget to bring your 'seatbelt' to church each week! We will be getting on a fast train or plane each Sunday! I must confess, I have a 'not so good feeling' each week. Why? Because too quickly the time comes when I have to say good- bye to you...there seems to be nothing more to talk about....you need to go back to your home. Well, another Sunday will come for us to meet again. Wonderful! And may the Lord bless you all week! Your pastor...........Ben

Shall we eat lunch inside or outside next week(25th)? As this bulletin is being printed, it is not yet decided where to eat lunch next week but....it will be announced today. Your pastor was so pleased with how many more stayed for lunch last month so perhaps we can do that again next week? And if it is not too cool outside, let's have a BBQ or picnic!
Two weeks ago...this was the prayer group on that Sunday night! (Yukio-san is not in the picture but he was there!) Please consider attending the prayer
meeting tonight. It is easy for the news to change but too many problems continue such as virus infections, divided families, rebellious children. We must be asking the Lord to stop some things! Let's pray!

A brief report...of the latest HSK financial report will be printed in next week's bulletin. For now, thank you for giving to your church. Please remember
that food and other items are still needed for the Food Bank. A list of items needed most can be found in the SKI stand.
You may want to give money...to a Christian who you know needs help for paying some bill. But, you may not want that person to know about your gift. Solution: Please place your money in an envelope, write the name of the person on that envelope and place it in the church offering box. Our church treasurer or pastor will make sure that gift is given to your friend as soon as possible!
Although it seems PA problems will not stop...please try watching and listening on your computer and cell phone one more time! This past week
more solut ions were found to problems that have been happening for a long time. Changing from cables to wireless equipment is not easy. But, success is getting closer!

Let’s pray for more youth to start attending HSK! And we must be praying for our children who are not attending HSK. Who will pray?
Will you pray for our missionary friends, Connie and Rick Justus? They need better health these days. Rick- san has endured heart problems for many years and needs a miracle today.
Please pray for the individuals and families receiving food from our Food Bank! May they desire to know Jesus.
Ronaldo-san is ask ing prayer Andrea’s relative, Naia-san. She recently suffered a stroke. Let's pray for her.
Please continue to do as the Lord says, and pray for the “peace of Jerusalem”.
COVID-19 is still spreading in many countries. Please pray for a vaccine to be available soon. We must be asking the Lord to heal the sick!
Let’s pray for salvation to come to all our family members. Wives/mothers in our church want a Christian family. Who will pray again?
Please pray for our new emperor and his family to come to know Jesus.
Let’s remember to pray for the children in HSK. May the Lord keep them all safe.
You probably know a family who once came to HSK but has stopped. Will you ask the Lord again to bring them back? Let us believe in restoration!

Jesus said that His flesh should be our meat, our staple diet: “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you” (John 6:53) The Jews could not comprehend such a thought, and many of His disciples went back and walked away from Him. They said “This is a hard saying; who can understand it? The reason we observe the Lord’s Supper is to remind us that He became our source of life through death. The more we come to eat and drink of Christ, the m o r e o f H i s l i f e w e w i l l s e e demonstrated in us. We have an open invitation from heaven to come to His table, to eat and become strong.
