Closed Circuits
A closed circuit is a circuit without interruptions providing a continuous path through it.

Open CircuitAn open circuit is an incomplete
circuit.

Homemade Flashlight
We used a battery, 2 wires, and a light bulb to make a homemade flashlight.

How Does A Light Bulb Work?
Well the light bulb needs to be connected to 2 wires or more and a battery. Also it needs to be in some sort of electric current.

Who Invented the light bulb?
Thomas Edison invented the light bulb ,but Benjamin Franklin discovered electricity.

Insulators
Insulators are anything that does not let electricity flow through it. It stops the flow instead of allowing going on and on.
Examples: worksheet, rubber band, toothpick

Conductors
Any thing that allows electricity to flow through it.
Examples: key, nickel, paperclip, brass fastener .microsoft:en-us:IE-

Series Circuit
Examples: A series circuit will nightlight, not work if one lig- lamp, and ht bulb is burned flashlight out, unlike the parallel circuit.

Parallel Circuit
A parallel circuit has two flash light bulbs, and four wires connecting the light bulbs together. If you take one out the other still lights.
Examples:bedroom light, classroom light,
refrigerator and freezer

Comparing And Contrasting
Parallel and series circuits are the same because they are both electrical and are both circuits.
The parallel and series circuits a different because one of them are the same on both sidesthat is parallel. Series has more than
1 light because it wouldn't be a series circuit with out 2 or more.
How Does Static Electricity Work?
Positive and negative electrical charges are separated from each other and are not moving, so that creates static electricity

How Does Lightening Work?
Negatively charged clouds creates static electricity, then finally gets too hot and strikes to the ground. The ground is positive and the cloud is negative, and that creates lightening.

Lightening Safety Tips
Don't touch or talk on a phone.
Wear zainy bands.
Stay inside your house or car.
Avoid jumping on the trampoline.
Stay away from windows.

Glossary Circuit- A complete
path around which a electric current can flow.
Grounded-If a electrical is grounded it's connected straight to the earthand is safe to use.
Series circuit-A circuit having its parts connected.
Parallel circuit- A closed circuit in which to current is divided into 2 or more paths.
