ADOPT A STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

In an effort to make Catholic education available to more families, the Adopt A Student

Scholarship has been established. Scholarship criteria is both need and merit-based. Families that

would like to apply for the Adopt A Student Scholarship are required to submit a FACTS form.

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must have registered and paid their

school registration fees for the 2018- 2019 school year. Students in grades K-8 are eligible for

this scholarship.

Applications are due April 15, 2018. Please turn in to the school office in an envelope marked

“Adopt A Student.”

Listed below are the criteria that the committee will use as a guide in recommending scholarships

for the upcoming school year.

A small team will review the applications, and make recommendations to Father Patrick as to the

scholarship awards for this school year.

The number of families receiving awards and the size of family awards will depend on the

number of applicants and content of the applications. We will inform applicants of awards before

the end of school this year.

• Practicing your Faith: Does the family practice their Faith on a regular basis? How often?

(see application form)

• Time/Talent: Were volunteer hours for the previous school year met? Did the family exceed

those service hours and in what ways? In what ways is the family giving of time/talent to the

parish and school (Ex. library volunteer, room mother, Heritage Days, fish fries, coaching, altar

servers, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, dance recital, etc.) (see application form)

• Catholic Education: A short description of why you want your child(ren) to attend Holy

Family School. (please print or type on a separate sheet of paper)

• Financial Need (if applicable): No additional information is needed.
