Welcome & Introduction

A One Day Workshop on PHP and MySQL was organized by Information Techology Engineering Department of Gyanmanjari Institute of Technology on 4th of August, 2018. The primary goal of this One Day Workshop was to enhance the technical knowledge of students about Web developement.

PHP is the most popular scripting language for web development. It is free, open source and server-side (the code is executed on the server). MySQL is a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) that uses Structured Query Language (SQL). It is also free and open source. The combination of PHP and MySQL gives unmet options to create just about any kind of website - from small contact form to large corporate portal.

PHP is a server-side, HTML-embedded scripting language that may be used to create dynamic Web pages. It is available for most operating systems and Web servers, and can access most common databases, including MySQL. PHP may be run as a separate program or compiled as a module for use with a Web server.

Conclusion

At the end of workshop, Prof. Chirag Bhalodia (Head of I.T. Department)

gave very positive and energetic words to all students. And also encourage

them to participate in various kinds of workshops for gaining extra

knowledge. He also discussed about scope of PHP and MySQL.
