This certification process will teach BRG leaders how to demonstrate more effectively the ways in which they can provide ROI back to the company and share best practices and leadership skills across the entire organization.

The certification process utilizes the business expertise and technical knowledge of mid-level managers, it offers that group an opportunity to demonstrate competence and drives a deeper knowledge of the value of Business Resource Groups overall. Mid-level managers are invited to facilitate modules that cover business acumen specific to the organization’s business model.

Prepare for relevance

The GWLF Strategic Business Partner® process takes 2 days to complete. Certification remains intact for 24 months. When certification expires, practitioner can be re-certified with 3 additional modules plus attendance at one Forum per year or can acquire GWLF higher level certification, Strategic Business Partner II™.

Business Resource Groups as Value PartnersAn intensive module that creates the framework for a successful BRG utilizing our trademarked methodology, Strength of the W™.

Course Outcomes: Implements the GWLF trademarked “Strength of the W” Methodology for impactful BRGs.

Business Trends and OpportunitiesDriven by the company’s overall goals this course helps reinforce the BUSINESS in BRG. Topics covered include: business trends, opportunities, profits, processes, and market share.

Course Outcomes: Understands business, trends, opportunities, profit, and processes of organization by utilizing middle managers as faculty.

BRG Strategic ExecutionIt is the ability to identify influencers, onboard advocates, and execute on a plan which is aligned to business goals, measuring both quantitative and qualitative results.

Course Outcomes: Understands how to strategically focus the BRG on initiatives that both matter to and impact the business, the role of an executive sponsor, and governance strategies.

Emotional IntelligenceGain an in depth look at how the natural emotional response can hijack your ability to think and diminish your ability to perform. Learn how to mitigate hijacks and speed up recovery.

Course Outcomes: Understands triggers for emotional hijacking, and understands how to diffuse the emotion in circumstances.

Communicating for ResultsFacilitated by the past president of the Illinois Chapter of the National Speakers Association, this module will provide specific feedback and insights on how to be your best brand ambassador.

Course Outcomes: Is effective in a variety of presentation settings – formal and informal in both written and oral communication.

Intra-Preneurial ThinkingWith BRG leadership as an integral part of the organization’s talent pipeline, it’s critical to help current and future leaders understand how to think like a business within the business for maximum results.

Course Outcomes: Implements “intra-preneurial” thinking for innovation, opportunity, and execution utilizing the GWLF trademarked 3Ds Method.

GWLF Strategic Business Partner® delivers customized, dynamic learning during two full-day onsite working sessions and a strategic project to be completed within six months of the end of the course.
