Christmas 2011 Dear family and friends, Christmas greengs to you and your family from Macon, Georgia! We are spending me in Macon as Nancy is employed on a short-term basis as a nurse anesthest. We started here in mid-October, and aſter a six-week break starng in January, we will be back here, off and on, unl mid-Spring. She is working at Central Georgia Medical Center, and is enjoying the work and relaonships with her co- workers. One of the wonderful aspects of the area is that we spend most week-ends with Nancy’s sis- ter and husband, Drs. Debbie and Mike Wilkowski, who live about 3 hours away. They have opened their Savannah home and Tybee Island beach house to us and it has been great fun spending quality me with them--including tennis matches and fishing on the bays off the Atlanc. Nancy’s mom, Bey-Nan, is joining all of us for Christmas in Savannah. Macon has been our Rerement Plan 2.1. We spent the first four months of 2011 on a medi- cal short-term assignment in Des Moines and went home to Moose Lake for the majority of the year. We worked on the house and enjoyed the lake in Northern Minnesota. We have been able to create a stronger relaonship with the church there, and began our rerement at our new home base. Our new kitchen is in, we have finished the main floor, planted a small garden, and connued the process of sorng and disposing of those things which aren’t so important aſter all. Last summer, I spent a few very enjoyable days in the Boundary Waters canoeing and fishing with friends. It has been years since I spent me in the BWCA . Nancy spent me with her mom at her place on numerous occasions and had a quick trip to Winnipeg for the Wheeler gathering aſter the tragic death of a cousin. We also spent some me with our kids and their families - very pre- cious mes to us in their busy lives. Dan and Elisha moved to Moose Lake just as we were leaving for Georgia this Fall. They connue to be involved in e-commerce and real estate. Dan also freelances his creave skills for clients and the local paper--photography, wring, internet development and more. It is wonderful to be in the grand parenng phase of life, and their daughter Nicole is an adorable cue and delight. Elisha is doing a fantasc job raising her. Nicole just had her first birthday and we look forward to the days ahead with her. Pete and Tracy are in the Kalamazoo area where Pete teaches at Western Michigan Univer- sity. He has a growing reputaon as an excellent teacher and researcher, and gets to travel to major conferences. Tracy is back to assisng troubled youth as a counselor and is taking classes to teach at the elementary level. They spent two weeks in the United Kingdom/Ireland, and very much enjoy their lake home, boang, and their two Labrador dogs. Janee has graduated again! Aſter receiv- ing her degree in psychology, she went back to school for her B.S. in nursing. She has lived the complicated life of a full-me student and part- me employee as a nurse’s aid. She has been sharing a nice apartment with a fellow student in Dan, Elisha & Nicole visit the UP in Michigan. Pete & Tracy in Ireland. Janette receives her B.S in Nursing.

Stopbyanytime! The guest bedroom is ready, the kitchen com-plete. We are just a couple miles off I-35 be-tween Duluth and Minneapolis. You are most welcome!

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in (wait upon) the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.”
