FROM THE COMMANDER
I want to thank our members for giving me the opportunity to serve as
your Commander for the coming year. We have a great group of officers
who are dedicated to making our Post the Best Legion Post in the state.
We had our Installation of Officers a few weeks ago and I want to thank
the Ladies & Gents for all their hard work in preparing a great buffet
spread for our members and guests.
The first thing I would like to talk to you about, is our need for MORE
VOLUNTEERS to help with our food services - Breakfast, Lunches,
Dinners, Special Functions, etc. We have a few members who seem to be
there all of the time but they are getting tired. Also, I would like to see more
members attending our meetings to add their input and suggestions on how
to continue to make our Post better in all our activities.
We need new bids on the contracts for our janitorial and yard maintenance
services. Please turn in your bid by September 1, 2010.
Congratulations To Our New Officers For 2010-2011

FROM THE 1St VICE COMMENDER
Thanks to all of you who voted me in as your 1st Vice Commander…
I will try and fulfill the obligations required of this position… Membership
is very important since it is what keeps the post going…. I will try to create
incentives to all present members, and with your help, we will be able to
generate many new members and offer them something to look forward to
other than just carrying a card. The new membership year has started as far
as paying your dues. Please do so as soon as possible and become an "Early
Bird". Ask your friends and neighbors, if they are eligible, to become a
member also.
For God and Country,
Jerry Hartman
