TESTS PROVE THAT GULLCO DRY PAKDISPENSERS MAINTAIN ELECTRODESBELOW AWS AND ASME CODE REQUIREMENTS FOR MORE THAN 24HOURS!

Normal absorption of moisture for electrodesexposed to high relative humidities is excessive,necessitating strict moisture control procedures.

The maximum electrode coating moisture contentallowed by AWS ranges from 0.4% H20 by weightdown to 0.2% depending on the strength of the basematerial.

The results of tests applied to the Dry Pak moisturecontrol dispenser system are shown in the diagramat right.

It will be noted that maximum electrode coveringmoisture content values did not exceed 0.2% forE7018 electrodes held in a Dry Pak exposed to 80-90% relative humidity... even after 41 hours exposure!
