An Irishman’s Philosophy There are only two things to worry about
Either you are well, or you are sick. If you are well, then there is nothing to worry about.
But if you are sick, There are two things to worry about.
Either you get well, or you die. If you get well, there is nothing to worry about.
If you die, There are two things to worry about.
Either you will go to Heaven or to Hell. If you go to Heaven, there is nothing to worry about.
But if you go to Hell, you’ll be so darn busy shaking hands with friends, you won’t have time to worry!

I would like to thank all the board members for their hard work and dedication in helping to keep Gull Aire Village a great place to live. We have had many changes and improvements during the last year, including the replacement of two A/C units in the clubhouse, new heating units for the pool, additional lighting and re-sealing the parking around the common area, as well as numerous repairs and updates to the pool and clubhouse. We also did a badly needed upgrade to the RV lots. We were fortunate enough to have Chuck come back and work for GAV on a part time basis. He knows our pool and equipment intimately and has done a great job in keeping the pool clean and running smoothly. Emily has also done a fantastic job in keeping the clubhouse clean and organized.
There will be three new board members elected at our meeting on February 25th. Please remember to attend future board meetings and give your board members the support that they need.
Tom Farkas, Board of Directors
ATTENTION ALL RESIDENTS If you need anything changed in our yellow phone Directory , including name, address, or phone number, please let Alice know, by phone (727)785-0643, by email [email protected] or drop by and see her in the office Mon -Thurs 8:30 to 12:30
Alice must have these changes by the end of March for inclusion in the new directory
Thank You!

Bring your empty coffee cup and enjoy coffee or tea and a nice assortment of pastries, donuts, Chicago rolls and sometimes a fruit cup. This is a good way to meet new friends and neighbors and hear about what will be happening in Gull Aire in the next few weeks. It has come to our attention that some people that attend our Saturday morning coffee are not finding any or much they can eat because they need gluten or sugar free foods. If this is the case, then there may be others that do not attend for the same reason. For a trial we will have this type of food available starting with the March 7th coffee. SEE YOU AT COFFEE!!!!!

VAPOR BARRIER AND ALL- AROUND MOBILE SERVICES Taylor Pro-Barrier (Kevin Taylor) 727-333-0617 “I had a major leak and smell under the house. I called a handyman I know, and he said there was a serious water leakage and the vapor barrier was hanging and holding water. He gave me the Taylor Pro-Barrier number. Kevin came out and it seemed that I had a big leak in the shower area in master bathroom He recommended Jones and Sons who came out and found shower drain had detached so that every time I showered, it just ran out into the vapor barrier and under the house. I also had Kevin assess whether the house was level. It was not, the 16 piers had been placed incorrectly. He leveled and placed the piers correctly. He also provided me pictures which helped the plumber. Taylor Pro is an ethical company and Kevin is a dream to work with. I am so pleased with my experience! RD PLUMBING Jones and Sons Safety Harbor 727-799-0287 Licensed/Insured “They are an honest and reliable group of men. Highly recommend them and reasonable prices.” LC “They came out same day, did repair at minimum cost. Very good!! GRANNY’S ATTIC IT’S REALLY TIME
It is on Saturday, March 21st from 8:00 am to 12:30pm. This is our big fundraiser for the year. It helps us keep the cost of dinner dances down and enables us to do some free events. So, if you have not attended one in the past, check us out. Please come and support your Social Club.

They’re BAAAAACK! A VERY LARGE black coyote has been seen on Trout, Canal and Dove Terrace. There have been some animal carcasses found in the Dove Terrace area. Other sightings have been reported in Gull Aire in the past few weeks. In one case there was more than one traveling together. When walking your dogs, be alert and carry some type of deterrent should you encounter an animal. Also, if you have a cat, do not let them go out at night. Coyotes are usually nocturnal but, in the past, have been spotted at all times during the day. Most times they are more frightened of you than you are of them, but they are looking for food and small animals are at risk. Be vigilant and keep your pets safe.
My office is collecting plastic lids from items such as water bottles, soda, milk, laundry, butter containers… basically any type of lid that is plastic. For every 400 lids/caps we collect a child will receive a free cancer treatment. We will be collecting until the end of April. I have placed a container in the club house labeled “Lids for Kids”, with some sample items, for your convenience. I will stop by weekly to collect. Should you have any questions my contact info also appears on the container. Should you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call. Thank you, Penny Allen 813-765-0101 256 Pelican Dr N
“Lids for Kids” Tampa Bay City Pass Having grandchildren or other visitors visiting during the spring break? Why not check out visittampabay.com and consider the Tampa Bay City Pass. This pass covers 5 attractions, for almost the price of one - it can be used at any of these attractions: Busch Gardens, Florida Aquarium, Lowry Zoo, Clearwater Aquarium, Museum of Science or Chihuahua Art Center. It would normally cost $224 but there is a reduced rate of $109 for adults and $99 for children to visit 5 of these attractions. City PASS tickets are valid for 9 consecutive days, starting with the first day of use and you have one year from the date of purchase to redeem. Check it out!
