Activation procedure for new 3G customers

I. Prepaid:

a) 3G Voice 120 General plan initially will be given on our 2G SIM ofRs.20/- (For Existing Customers) as wells as 3G USIM of Rs. 59/-.The Tariff got 120 General Plan is available at ANNEXURE-I.

b) As per requirement of customer following “First Recharge Coupon(FRC)” of Rs.120/- or Rs.119/- to be charge.

(i) For Voice Plan FRC of Rs.120/-, following Freebies will be available.(From date of launching to 12.09.2010)

(I) 100 Minutes of Free Video (II) 200 MB of Free Data (III) SMS (1000 Local & 1000 National) Free. (IV) Validity of 180 days (V) Free usage with FRC of Rs.20/-. (VI) Video Calls@30 paisa/minute upto 12.09.2010. After that, base plan rate of Rs.120/- General plan will be applicable.

(ii) For Data Plan FRC of Rs.119/-, following Freebies will be available.(From date of launching to 12.09.2010 )

(I) 12 GB of free data for 2 months (2 GB for day time & 10 GB night time). Night time implies 11 PM to 7 AM. (II) Validity of 180 days (III) Free usage with FRC of Rs.20/-.

This FRC of Rs.119/- (MRP) FRC can be activated on 3G data USIM only and 3G data USIM is to be sold only on purchase of 3G data card.

Note :- Above both FRCs will be available on CTOP only.


Data Trial pack of Rs.62/- and Rs.121/- will be available to customers on both plans i.e. voice plan of Rs.120/- General and Data plan of Rs.119/- from the date of launch.

(c) Later on the customer can recharge/ top up/STVs as per requirement. (Attached at ANNEXURE- 8 ).


Migration Procedure for existing BSNL 2G Prepaid Customers

Existing 2G Prepaid customers can opt for temporary migration to 3G by recharging with a special tariff voucher (STV) of Rs.21/-(MRP) which gives 3G services like Video calling, High Speed Internet for 30 days validity at the rates specified for 3G plan 120 General Prepaid while retaining the 2G Voice and SMS Plan. After expiry of 30 days if customer wants 3G services again then he/she has to use STV of Rs.21/- again per month.

Existing 2G Customers Migrating To

3G Option:1

STV(Special Tariff Voucher)of Rs 21/-(MRP). For 30 days customer will avail 3G services. After every 30 days customer needs to recharge with STV 21 to continue in 3G services.

Option:2

For Activation SMS ACT 3G to 53733. Deduction of Rs 21/-(MRP) from customer’s account and 3G services will be provided within 48 hours. The customer will be deducted Rs.21/- from his account per month and will be continue to get 3G till customer requests for deactivation.

For Deactivation SMS DEACT to 53733.

In both options 2G Voice Plan will be retained and video & data as per 3G tariff

NOTE :- For Enabling 3G Service, 3G Handset (Having Front end

camera) is required.


3G Postpaid:

a) Take the application at BSNL CSC or any other sale outlet as per the normal procedure & choose a suitable plan as per customer requirement

b) USIM charge will be Rs.59/- and Activation charge is Rs.100/-.

c) Plans (ranging from Plan 99 to Plan 1500) are same as 2G plans, only Rs.25/ -per month will be charged extra for 3G services.

d) Migration through SMS “ACT 3G” to 53733 has been configured. Tariff as per corporate office plan configured. For Non-Corporate office plans like Ek Duje ke liye, Gurjari 45 etc., video and data charges will be as per BSNL CO Plan-99. For 3G facility, customer will be charged Rs.25/- per month. (Taxes extra)


Promotional Offers in 3G (from date of launch upto 12.09.2010). All the offers are available upto 12.09.2010.

I. 3G Prepaidi) 100 Minutes video call and 200 MB data FREE for usage within

30 days.ii) 1000 SMS (Local) and 1000 SMS (National) FREE for usage

within 30 days.iii) Local & National Video calls @ 30p/min.

II. 3G Data Card

a) Option 1: Buy a 3G Data Card from CSC/Channel partners of BSNL & get free data usage of 12 GB (2 GB during anytime of the day & 10 GB during night) for usage within 2 months on FRC of Rs.119/-.

b) Option 2 :Make a commitment for longer period & get 3G data card (Make/Model-Linktop/LW 272, Data speed- 3.6 Mbps, Single Band, USB Type) free of cost. The schemes on offer are as per Corporate office circular no. 26-8/2009-R&C dated 20.05.2010.
