How is my application assessed?IFP staff will view the images that you’ve uploaded in your efolio, readyour supporting text and UCAS personal statement, and then assessyour application using the following criteria:

• Your enthusiasm for being involved with Fine Art & Design.• Your ability to show practical and conceptual skills.• Your ability show development in your work.• Demonstration of self motivation.

The InterviewApplicants selected for an interview will be contacted to arrange for aninterview time via phone or Skype unless the interviewee is availableto meet in Glasgow.The interview will be a review and discussion about the efolio workand personal statements submitted. This will also give applicants achance to ask questions about the programme, how it is structured,and what they can expect for their year of studies.The interview will normally last about 20‐25 minutes and will beconducted by two members of staff.

Your Supporting Text and Personal StatementYour supporting text and personal statement should demonstrate yourinterest in coming to the Glasgow School of Art’s International FoundationProgramme as well as your interest in Art & Design. Speak personally,about your work and your interests. Why would you like to come toGlasgow? What is it that you want to do while you’re studying here? Whatelse outside of Art & Design interests you? We are looking for people thatare enthusiastic about the opportunity to be involved in a studio basedacademic programme!

Images for your efolio• 10 images.• A selection of both developmental and finished work.• The maximum image file size is 200kb and resolution does not need

to exceed 72 dpi.

The uploaded images may show different angles of the same work, ordetails of one piece. Before you submit your application, please ensurethat you are comfortable with the size, focus, and level of detail that isvisible, as this is what the admissions staff will be looking at.

The following slides show some of the different ways that work couldbe presented. These act as a guideline only, as we understand that anapplicant’s work is very personal, and unique to them.

Consider showing your work in different ways – some slides may be acollection of images or pages from a sketchbook, while other slidesmay focus on a single image. Choose the way you feel best representsyou and your work.
