LAVENDER

Lavender Fun Facts: Lavender is one of the most well-known and well-loved essential oils. It is commonly referred to as the “Swiss Army Knife” of oils. Frankincense – incredible for the skin (decreases fine lines and great for blisters) and immune system! Promotes feelings of calmness and balance, and eases occasional anxiety. This helps us focus and stay grounded, too! 

 

Frankincense Fun Facts: Frankincense has been traded around the Middle East for over 5,000 years. It is mentioned in the bible many times and is often referred to as the ‘holy anointing oil’. It is offered both in the normal and Vitality line through Young Living. They are the exact same oil inside, but the outside showcases different uses. 

Common Uses 

● Internal with Vitality – Supports immunity and respiratory systems. ● Topical and Aromatic – Calms mood, supports meditation, and enhances skin

LEMON 

Lemon - maintains energy levels, great for detox, yummy in water! Cleans just about everything and wonderful to add to garbage disposals. Also used to make Thieves Tea…yum! Combine with Lavender and Peppermint for allergy support (Lemon + Lavender + Peppermint = LLP) 

 

Lemon Fun Facts: It takes about 75 lemons to make one 15mL bottle of Lemon Essential Oil. It is cold pressed from the rind rather than steam distilled. It is so high in monoterpenes, you can use it to clean the blackest grime off of surfaces with ease! Young Living offers Lemon in the normal line as well as the Vitality line for consumption, but they are the exact same oil inside the bottles. 

Common Uses 

● Internal with Vitality – Supports immunity, digestive, respiratory; helps flush your renal system. 

● Topical and Aromatic – Helpful for uplifting moods; a grime dissolver and skin brightener.

COPAIBA  

Copaiba - promotes a youthful appearance, supports the body’s response to injury and irritation, great for occasional irritation of the gums. Copaiba is a magnifier oil, meaning that it intensifies the effects of other oils, so a great addition for your roller ball recipes. Here is a favorite for head or muscle tension: In a 10 ml roller bottle: 10 drops of PanAway, 10 drops of Copaiba, 5 drops of Peppermint. Top off with your favorite carrier oil.  

 

Copaiba Fun Facts: Copaiba, pronounced  kō-pī-bah or kō-pī-ee-bah, is steam distilled from the oleoresin, which is a mixture of the essential oil and resin of the plant. It is excellent to help calm and soothe muscles and joints. It is offered both in the normal and Vitality line through Young Living. They are the exact same oil inside, but the outside showcases different uses. 

Common Uses 

● Internal with Vitality – Supports cardiovascular, nervous, and respiratory systems. 

● Topical and Aromatic – Helpful to calm and focus the mind when diffused or applied topically. Helps to soothe muscle tension. 

Best Practice

Peppermint - helps us enjoy the springtime outdoors, soothes occasional head discomfort, supports the digestive system, promotes proper nasal and respiratory function! Ahhhh-mazing diffused with lemon and lavender (LLP)! Also wonderful for motion sickness, pest control and to curb appetite. 

 

Peppermint Fun Facts: It takes about one pound of peppermint material to produce one 15mL bottle of Peppermint Essential Oil. It is a natural hybrid of Spearmint and Watermint. Peppermint is a driving oil that helps drive other oils in deeper and faster. It is offered both in the normal and Vitality line through Young Living. They are the exact same oil inside, but the outside showcases different uses. 

Common Uses 

● Internal with Vitality – Circulatory and digestive support, airway support, cravings and appetite support.

Stress Away - exactly what it says - it’s a vacation in a bottle! We like it rubbed on our wrists or on the back of our necks. Also amazing to use on aromatherapy jewelry.  

 

Stress Away™ Fun Facts: Stress Away is a customer favorite blend, and it’s commonly joked that users would bathe in it if they could. It contains a small amount of Vanilla absolute, making it a favorite among kids and adults alike, with children often calling it their “vanilla ice cream oil.” This blend contains 5 single oils: Copaiba, Lime, Cedarwood, Ocotea, and Lavender with a touch of Vanilla absolute. 

Common Uses 

● Topical and Aromatic – Calming for emotions, helpful during times of stress, great for focus and mental clarity. 

Best Practice 

● Topical – Rub a drop on the wrists and back of neck in the morning for a more focus-friendly day. Also, increases confidence. Apply to muscles to decrease tension. Add to a bath with Epsom salts…ahhhhhh! 

● Aromatic – Add to a cold water diffuser at night to calm the environment for a more restful night’s sleep.

PanAway® - so. many. types. of. relief! Occasional head discomfort and great for occasional joint and muscle soreness. Here is a favorite recipe for head and muscle tension: In a 10 ml roller bottle: 10 drops of PanAway, 10 drops of Copaiba, 5 drops of Peppermint. Top off with your favorite carrier oil. 

 

PanAway® Fun Facts: When a person physically needs this blend, they usually smell it and love it! They say they could almost eat it (but don’t do that since this oil is not for consumption…it even has a childproof cap to make sure the little ones don’t eat it!). This blend contains  4 single oils: Wintergreen, Helichrysum,  Clove, and Peppermint. Helichrysum is known for its regenerative properties. 

Common Uses 

● Topical – Apply this oil with carrier oil for a refreshing after-workout experience. Also excellent to rub on chest to open up the respiratory pathways, and to use during massages. For children, can ease the discomfort of growing pains.  

Best Practice 

● Topical – This blend is best used topically. Apply on location liberally as needed. It is considered a hot oil, meaning it can feel biting, but has a cooling sensation, so it is best to use with a carrier oil.

Thieves - keepin’ us healthy! Helps purify the air of those winter yuckies, boosts immunity, and is just the greatest. Thieves Tea Recipe: mix 1 drop of Thieves and 1-2 drops of Lemon to a tablespoon of honey, then add to your favorite hot cup of tea. Coffee, Tea or Me? Thieves Tea, please!

Purification - buh-bye to bad odors and airborne germs! Feels amazing rubbed on the outside of your throat/neck, and we also love it in our laundry, diaper pails and in garbage cans. 

 

Purification® Fun Facts: Purification® is the oil most commonly used to freshen stinky feet. One drop on the bottom of the feet in the morning gets the job done.  It is also a mom favorite for their school-age kids to help keep critters away.
