ESUMC is changing lives – drawing people to Christ and
serving the needy. Sunday worship, discipleship classes,
Sunday School, the Youth Program, mission trips,
retreats, Stephens Ministers, Faith Promise, Family
Promise, Community Meals, and Block Parties – These,
and other ministries, are the actions by which we are
changing the lives of the participants as well as the
recipients.
We’re all part of the body. Now you are the body of Christ,
and each one of you is part of it – 1 Corinthians 12:27
We are all part of “the body”, and like body parts, we are
made differently, uniquely made by God. We each have a
unique combination of talents, abilities, spiritual gifts,
training, experiences and financial resources…a different
function and a divine purpose. Like a healthy body, all of
the differing parts are made to work together – to change
lives by drawing people to Christ and serving the needy.
This booklet lists numerous opportunities for you to use
your specific gifts in God’s work through ESUMC. It also
contains separate forms for you to make your intent to
volunteer known to ministry leaders, and for an estimate
of financial giving. Your volunteer term is for the 2017
calendar year.
Please prayerfully and thoughtfully consider how to apply
your time, talent, spiritual gifts, and treasure to help
ESUMC continue to change lives.
