Residence and housingThe living is easy here at Lethbridge College. For students new to Lethbridge, living in residence is a popular choice. We offer three different types of housing located on our gorgeous campus. Our Kodiak House suites are for those who love their privacy. You’ll have a spacious bedroom complete with a full bathroom and kitchenette. Our Cullen Avenue units feature two-bedroom apartments where you and your future roommate will have your own private bedrooms and share a living space, complete with a kitchen, as well as a full bathroom. Some of our Cullen units also back on to Lethbridge’s famous “coulees” so you can expect to have one of the best views in the city. Our 30th Avenue residences are our four-bedroom townhouses, where you will find ample space in your shared living room and kitchen to spend time with your new friends. You and each of your roommates will have your own bedrooms, plus you’ll have two bathrooms to share.

We also offer select suites for those with accessibility needs or with families. Please give us a call to learn more.

The commute (on foot) from any of our residences to any classroom on campus will take you no longer than 10 minutes. Not too bad for those early morning classes. We also offer laundry services and BBQ facilities just steps outside your front door. Our costs are low, our satisfaction levels are high and we are sure you’ll find our accommodations just right.

Want to live off campus? There are plenty of great options around Lethbridge. Our Residence Life office can give you tips and offer advice on finding the right home from you.

Lethbridge College gives away over $900,000 to our students each year. We’ve streamlined the application process for you to make it easy to apply. We’ve created one form that you can fill out online that will actually filter itself out to every scholarship we have that is applicable to you. It’s that easy – one form, multiple scholarships. Keep in mind that our scholarship application deadline is May 1 each year. You’ve got nothing to lose and tons to gain, and that’s the way we like it!

We also can help you with applying for student loans. Student loans enable many students to achieve their post-secondary education; therefore, we provide service to help you make sure you are on the right track. Visit lethbridgecollege.ca to find all of the information you need about how to apply for student loans no matter what province you call home. Not only can we help you obtain those loans, but we can also provide you with tips and suggestions when it comes to having to re-pay your loans. We’ve got your back through the whole loan process.

Alberta Works and Canada/Alberta Works funding is non-repayable grant funding available to eligible students in eligible programs. We can provide you with assistance on this funding option as well. Some full-time funded students even receive a living allowance.

To learn more about what it will take to fund your education, visit the Financial Aid and Awards page on our website to determine how much your education and living expenses will be while you are in college.

One of the best places to get started becoming familiar with our useful online resources is to check out MyHorizon, or the portal as we often call it, and the learning support system. These tools will help you stay on top of your work and life while you are a student.

MyHorizon is the place to find out what’s going on at Lethbridge College. You can access almost everything there, including your schedule and account balances. You can also check your college email, watch our Twitter feed and get the latest news, or check out student policies. To make sure you can access the portal no matter where in the world you are, connect it to your smart phone. You’ll want to be a regular on the portal so you don’t miss out on anything.

The learning support system is another online tool Lethbridge College provides that connects you directly to your classes. Some instructors use the system to post notes, interesting internet links, suggested readings, and grades. You can track your progress to make sure you are meeting your goals. And in many cases, you can access classmates and your instructors via the learning support system as well. It’s just another way that we make learning exciting and accessible at Lethbridge College.

The Lethbridge College Bookstore is your one-stop shop for all the gear you will want to be ready to tackle your classes.

Textbooks are definitely on your horizon and the bookstore is where you can find the books you need. Everything is ordered alphabetically and books are listed by course code, so snagging the books you need is a breeze. You can also find APA style guides, dictionaries, thesauruses and other guides to help you improve your skills. Many classes will require tools beyond textbooks, and you can find most of that equipment here as well.

Also, the bookstore can help you look the part of being a Lethbridge College Kodiak. We’ve got clothing to suit all styles and offer seasonal options as well. Grab a polo for those warm golf days or a Kodiaks scarf when the weather turns cool. Purchase matching hoodies (or bunnyhugs, depending on where in Canada you are from) for yourself, your mom, your best friend, your little nephew and all the important people in your life and wear it with pride. We’ve also included a bookstore clothing coupon on the back of your checklist so you can start building your college wardrobe.

Oh, and if you can’t wait to start your school shopping, check out the bookstore online to order your books and gear and get them with plenty of time to spare.

We are all Kodiaks here at Lethbridge College. We rally around our Kodiak teams and have an immense sense of college pride, tons of spirit and a strong feeling of belonging and support.

Our Kodiaks athletes come to us from across the country and around the world. We have competitive men’s and women’s Kodiaks teams in basketball, volleyball, golf, cross-country running and soccer. Our teams compete in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference against other colleges from around the region.

If you would like to become a Kodiaks athlete, there are some steps you can take to help you get your name on one of our rosters. First of all, many of our teams have spring ID camps. You will find the dates of all ID camps on gokodiaks.ca. These camps give you the opportunity to meet some of our current players, run through some drills and scrimmages and get noticed by our coaches. On the Kodiaks website, you can also fill out the “Become a Kodiak” form. Filling out this form gets your personal and athletic information to the coach so that you can get noticed.

Our Kodiaks teams have open tryouts at the beginning of the school year. You will be able to learn about tryout schedules and procedures on gokodiaks.ca. Our Kodiaks athletes have support to make sure they find that healthy student-athlete balance. It can be a busy schedule balancing athletics and school, so we will do everything we can to help you manage your time efficiently so that you can be a stellar student and a star athlete.

Whether you are living in residence on-campus or have your own place off-campus, if you’ve got a vehicle and plan to park on-campus, you’ll need a parking pass. Our parking passes are very affordable compared to the big cities. Pick up your pass in the bookstore.
