    Introduction

    Save the Children is carrying out an In-Depth Analysis of the Child Rights Governance situation in the

    country. A key component of this is economic governance analysis to ascertain challenges and

    opportunities for improved investment in children. Investment in Children (IiC !ork focuses on increased

    mo"ili#ation and allocation as !ell as effective utili#ation of private and pu"lic resources in order to reali#e

    immediate and long term needs of children. $he %nited &ations Convention on the Rights of the Child

    (%&CRC' Article places an o"ligation on the part of all governments to invest in children to the

    )ma*imum e*tent of their availa"le resources+ in order to reali#e the o",ectives of the Convention. $he

    purpose of the analysis is to inform planning and programming "y Save the Children.
