Jeff Bradetich Proclaimed by The New York Times as "the master of his instrument," Jeff Bradetich is regarded as one of the leading performers and teachers of the double bass in the US today. Since his New York debut in Carnegie Recital Hall in 1982, he has performed more than 400 concerts on four continents including his London debut in Wigmore Hall in 1986. He has won many major solo competitions and has been featured on radio and elevision throughout North and South America and Europe

including CBS, CNN, BBC, CBC and NPR.

As a young student growing up in Eugene, Oregon, Mr. Bradetich studied with Robert Hladky, cello professor at the University of Oregon. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Northwestern University where he studied with Warren Benfield and Joseph Guastafeste. His other major musical influences include: performing for ten seasons at the Oregon Bach Festival with Helmuth Rilling, one of the world's leading Bach authorities; summer study with Gary Karr and many of the leading double bass pedagogues in the United States; and performing for four seasons with the Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra.

Since that time, Mr. Bradetich has been an active lecturer and clinician and has transcribed more than 100 solo works for the double bass. He has produced an instructional video and DVD and has recently released a DVD recording of the first Bach cello suite. )-ie has recorded six solo albums with his wife Judi Rockey Bradetich on piano, including two firsts for the double bass: a Christmas album and a children's recording. His newest CD is Double Bass Portraits on Klavier Records.

As Executive Director of the International Society of Bassists (ISB) from 1982-1990 he established the ISB International Conventions, ISB Solo Competition, ISB Endowment Fund and ISB Magazine. During that time he published 24 magazines and also served as editor of the magazine for six years. He taught on the faculties of the Interlachen Arts Academy (1980-1983), University of Michigan (1980-1983), and Northwestern University (1983-1994) prior to his 1994 appointment as director of the largest double bass program in the world at the University of North Texas.

Mr. Bradetich is co-founder of Music For All To Hear, the first company to record music especially arranged and acoustically prepared for the hard of hearing. His pioneering work in this field \las helped to bring music into the lives of thousands of individuals With hearing losses.

Pianist Diane Birr has collaborated with numerous vocalists and instrumentalists in recitals and master classes throughout the United States, and in Australia, Canada, France, Scotland, Austria and Norwl,ly. She is frequently featured as a pianist on the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra's Chamber Music Series and in concerts at Ithaca College. Dr. Birr has served as an official accompanist for the Music Teachers National Association's (MTNA) national competitions and the International Trombone Workshop. In addition, she served for sixteen years on the faculty at International Workshops, a two-week music and arts festival held in locations around the world, where she performed in recitals and master classes and coached chamber music. Her collaborative performances can be heard on Liscio Recordings, Crystal Records, and Houston Publishing, Inc. Dr. Birr serves as the President of the New York State Music Teachers Association (NYSMTA) and is currently Associate Professor of Piano at Ithaca_College.
