GUARNIZIONI SPIROMETALLICHE IES-BRASPIRALWOUND GASKETS IES-BRA

Le guarnizioni spirometalliche nascono nel 1912 e ancora oggi rappresentano una delle soluzioni più versatili e performanti nel campo dei sistemi di tenuta per flange.La spirometallica è costruita con una striscia continua di metallo (winding) alternata a strisce di materiale di riempimento (filler), con uno speciale profilo a “V” che garantisce un effetto molla, ovvero un buon ritorno elastico.Le guarnizioni sono di diverso tipo a seconda dell’alloggiamento e della flangia dove devono essere impiegate.

The spiralwound gaskets were born in 1912 and today still represent one of most adaptable and well performing solution in the sealing systems range for flanges.The spiralwound is manufactured with a continuous metal strip (winding) alternating with filler material strips, with a special “V” shape, that guarantees a spring effect, or better, a good spring back.The gaskets are of different type according to the housing and the flange where they must be used.

MATERIALI DISPONIBILI

Industrial Service ha un magazzino fornito di guarnizioni in pronta consegna. In particolare IES (spirale con anello esterno), IES-IR (spirale con anello interno ed esterno), con GRAFITE e PTFE abbinati a AISI 316L come elemento di tenuta, anelli esterni in AISI 316 e CARBON STEEL, e anelli interni in AISI 316.Il magazzino Industrial Service è completo per le misure in millimetri da DN 10 a DN 600 per PN 10 fino a PN 250 e per le misure in polici da ½” a 24” per pressioni da 150LBS a 2500LBS.

AVAILABLE MATERIALS

Industrial Service has a warehouse stocked up with various type of ready gaskets, in particular IES (winding with external ring) and IES-IR (winding with inner and outer ring), with GRAPHITE and PTFE matched with AISI 316L as sealing element, AISI 316 and CARBON STEEL outer rings and AISI 316 inner rings.The Industrial Service warehouse is complete for the millimetre sizes from DN 10 to DN 600 for PN 10 up to PN 250 and for the inch size from ½” to 24” for pressures from 150 lbs to 2500 lbs.

Le spirometalliche possono presentare barre di separazione per poter trovare applicazione nei macchinari come gli scambiatori di calore. I limiti di applicazione per questa guarnizione sono date dai limiti dei materiali che la compongono, comunque in linea generale può arrivare a resistere a pressioni di 2500psi e temperature di 815°C.

SELECTION OF GASKET THICKNESS

A seconda del diametro le spirometalliche sono disponibili in diversi spessori. La tabella di seguito specifica lo spessore ideale prima e dopo lo schiacciamento tra le flange.

Le spirometalliche normalmente hanno uno spessore di 4,5 mm, comunque se necessario, possono essere prodotte con spessori differenti.

La tabella di seguito specifica lo spessore in funzione delle applicazioni.

Depending on the diameter, the spiralwound gasket is available in a variety of thicknesses.The table below specifies the thicknesses and the recommended optimum thickness after fitting.

The spiralwound® is usually produced with a thickness of 4,5 mm. However, in some cases another thickness can be selected to obtain effective sealing.
