2 AccountingpoliciesSummaryofsignificantaccountingpoliciesandkeyaccountingestimates

The principal accounting policies applied in the preparation of these financial statements are set outbelow.Thesepolicieshavebeenconsistentlyappliedtoalltheyearspresented,unlessotherwisestated.

StatementofcomplianceThesefinancialstatementshavebeenpreparedusingthehistoriccostconventionexcepthatasdisclsoedin the accounting policies certain items are shown at fair value. The financial statements have beenprepared in accordance with Finacial Reporting Standard 102 Section 1A - The Financial ReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIrelandandtheCompaniesAct2006.Tangibleassets

Tangibleassetsarestatedinthestatementoffinancialpositionatcost,lessanysubsequentaccumulateddepreciationandsubsequentaccumulatedimpairmentlosses.

Thecostof tangibleassets includesdirectlyattributable incrementalcosts incurred in theiracquisitionandinstallation.Depreciation

Depreciation is charged so as to write off the cost of assets, other than land and properties underconstructionovertheirestimatedusefullives,asfollows:Assetclass DepreciationmethodandrateFixturesandfittings 20%reducingbalancePlantandmachinery 20%reducingbalance

Stocks

Stocksarestatedatthelowerofcostandestimatedsellingpricelesscoststocompleteandsell.

Thecostoffinishedgoodsandworkinprogresscomprisesdirectmaterialsand,whereapplicable,directlabour costs and those overheads that have been incurred in bringing the inventories to their presentlocation and condition. At each reporting date, stocks are assessed for impairment. If stocks areimpaired, the carrying amount is reduced to its selling price less costs to complete and sell; theimpairmentlossisrecognisedimmediatelyinprofitorloss.

Leases

Leasesareclassifiedasfinanceleaseswheneverthetermsoftheleasetransfersubstantiallyalltherisksandrewardsofownershiptothelessee.

Assetsheldunderfinanceleasesarerecognisedattheloweroftheirfairvalueatinceptionoftheleaseand thepresent valueof theminimum leasepayments.Theseassetsaredepreciatedona straight-linebasisovertheshorteroftheusefullifeoftheassetandtheleaseterm.ThecorrespondingliabilitytothelessorisincludedintheBalanceSheetasafinanceleaseobligation.

LeasepaymentsareapportionedbetweenfinancecostsintheProfitandLossAccountandreductionoftheleaseobligationsoastoachieveaconstantperiodicrateofinterestontheremainingbalanceoftheliability.
