Depending on sales most tours are bilingual and guests are normally from a number of different countries. Other guests with the same languages may join in or may leave during a tour. Our tours represent a unique possibility to meet people across borders and win new friends.

Our tours combine three things, which are important for modern travellers: affordable prices, 1st class service and plenty of individual choices. balticvision distributes its products through an extensive network of reliable and trustworthy tour operators.

A First Class ProductSERVICE STANDARDSHotels: We are using good centrally located superior 3 star, 4 star or 5 star hotels. We reserve the right to change the featured hotels. Alternative hotels will be of the same standard as the featured hotels both in terms of standard and location. Final hotel names will be advised latest 1 month prior to arrival.

Meals: Breakfasts are buffet style at all hotels.

Coaches: Our coaches are new 49-seater 1st class coaches with air conditioning, adjustable seats, toilet, fridge and possible other conveniences. Depending on sales some tours or segments of tours and optional tours will be operated with new 1st class minivans with adjustable seats and air conditioning. For comfort and security we always keep at least 3 empty seats in coaches and minivans. Passengers are covered by 3rd person liability insurance. Drivers are driving strictly according to EU regulations. Seating in the vehicles is free.

Tour escorts: Our tour escorts are university graduates and have been specially trained as guides and as bilingual tour escorts. The tour escorts are very experienced and most have been working for us for many years. The tour escorts are assisted by local guides if needed or required.

VOX: Tours in Finland and Russia are operated with VOX audio communication system, providing the guests with the finest state-of-the-art technology.

Portage: Portage of one piece of luggage is included at all 4 and 5 star hotels and railway stations.

Visa support: Visa is required for almost all nationalities for tours including Russia and only for some fewer nationalities for tours covering EU destinations. We supply visa support complementary. We do not accept any responsibility for guests arriving without valid passport and visa.

Number of participants: We allow max 45 guests on the same tour. The average number of guests is around 30-35. For the Baltic Biking and Baltic Hiking tours we allow max 21 guests respectively max 31 guests on the same tour.

SPECIAL FEATURESArrival and departure transfers: Guests can pre-order private arrival and departure transfers. By arrival transfer the guests are met by a driver with a name board reading their surnames in the arrival hall of the airport. Guests should co-ordinate their departure transfer with the tour escort.

Welcome letter: On arrival to the hotel the guests receive a personalized welcome letter announcing time and place for the welcome meeting.

Welcome meeting: During the welcome meeting the guests are served a welcome drink. The tour escort introduces the program and the optional tours and the guests receive various materials such as a personalized program and information materials.

Diplomas for active touring: The participants in the Baltic Biking and Baltic Hiking tours receive a diploma for successfully completing active touring in the Baltic countries at the end of the tour.

MORE VALUEOptional excursions and dinners: Our tours come with an extensive choice of optional excursions and dinners. The optional services can be booked in advance or during the tour.

The optional excursions feature important highlights not included into the standard sightseeing tours and always include transport, guide service and entrances.

The optional dinners are half-board at hotel or special highlight dinners at local restaurants. Dinners at hotels are substantial 3-course set menu or buffet style and include ice-water and coffee/tea. Highlight dinner at local restaurants include a substantial 3-course menu with ice-water and coffee/tea. In some cases alcoholic drinks or live music is included. The highlight dinners at local restaurant include guide and transport, in some few cases the restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel (max 10 min walk) and transport is not included. At both hotels and local restaurants additional drinks can be ordered and paid for at the spot.

PRE- AND POST STAYSWe offer attractive rates for guests who would like to arrive earlier or departure later. Please ask for a detailed pricelist.

QUALITY, SAFETY AND SECURITYQuality control: We ask all guests to fill out a service questionnaire. The questionnaires are handed over to the guests during the welcome meeting and collected at the end of the tour. Moreover, we are happy to receive feed back in any other form, aiming to help us to maintain and raise the standards of our product.

Safety and security: Safety and security is a priority in all our operations. We only use suppliers that guarantee the same. We carefully check the insurance and operating licenses of all our suppliers.

PRICE POLICYAll prices in this catalogue include service and VAT. All prices are gross rates and are commissionable to reliable and trustworthy tour operators.

DAY 2 (SUNDAY): PRAGUEPrague has been a cultural centre of central Europe for the over 1,100 years of its existence and 20 years after the velvet revolution it is more than ever one of the most beautiful and exciting cities of the world. The morning sightseeing tour takes us to the Old Town with the Old Town Square surrounded by historical buildings such as the Old Town Hall with the famous Astronomical Clock, the imposing

St. Nicholas Church and Church of Our Lady, the Jewish Quarter and the Wenceslas Square. The afternoon offers an optional tour to the castle area with Prague Castle, residence of Czech Kings, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Golden Lane with fairy small houses, the Kings Road, the Lesser Town and the Charles Bridge. The evening is offering a fabulous dinner cruise on the Vltava-River.

DAY 3 (MONDAY): PRAGUEThe morning offers an optional half day tour to the impressive Bohemian Gothic Karlstejn Castle, located about 35 km southwest of Prague in the Karlstejn village.

DAY 4 (TUESDAY): PRAGUE-KRAKOWToday we head for Brno, the capital of Moravia and a charming historical town dominated by the Spilberk Royal Castle and the Peter and Paul Cathedral. After a lunch break we continue via the mining town of Ostrava into the picturesque mountainous South of Poland. We reach Krakow in the late afternoon and check-in at Hotel Park Inn Krakow****.

DAY 5 (WEDNESDAY): KRAKOWFor half a millennium Krakow was the royal capital of Poland and for centuries the city walls have guarded its traditions and secrets. The morning sightseeing tour takes us to the Old Town with the St. Mary’s Church, the Jagiellonian University, the Cloth Halls and Wawel with the Wawel Castle and the Wawel Cathedral. The afternoon offers an optional excursion to the famous Wieliczka Salt Mine, an amazing labyrinth of tunnels going down as far as 327 meters. The evening offers an optional Polish dinner at Restaurant Hawelka.

DAY 6 (THURSDAY): KRAKOW-WARSAW We leave for Czestochowa, the spiritual heart of Poland, where we visit the Jasna Gora Monastery with the Black Madonna. The afternoon excursion of the Masurian Lakeland takes us to the quaint town of Ketrzyn, to the beautiful Baroque church in Swieta Lipka and to the town of Gizycko, surrounded to all sides by the lakes. DAY 6 (SUNDAY): MRAGOWA-VILNIUSToday we continue along the eastern fringe of the Masurian Lakeland with endless blue lakes and attractive resort

towns into Lithuania. We do a stop in Kaunas, the former capital of Lithuania, to admire the beautiful Old Town and the elegant white Baroque Town Hall before we arrive in the late afternoon to Vilnius. Check in at Hotel Radisson Blu Lietuva**** or similar.

DAY 7 (MONDAY): VILNIUSVilnius is known for its more than 1.200 medieval buildings and 48 churches. The morning sightseeing tour includes a panoramic tour of the city and a walking tour of the Old Town with Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anne’s Church, Old University and the Gates of Dawn. The afternoon offers an optional excursion to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania, with the well preserved Trakai Castle, beautifully located on an island in Lake Galve. DAY 8 (TUESDAY): VILNIUS-RIGAHeading for Riga, the first stop is the Hills of Crosses, one of the most holy sites of Catholic Lithuania. After crossing into Latvia we soon reach the magnificent Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland. Following a guided tour of the palace we travel through the rolling hills of Southern Latvia to reach Riga late afternoon, check-in at Hotel Radisson Blu Latvija**** or similar.

DAY 9 (WEDNESDAY): RIGA Before we get acquainted with Riga we have the possibility of discovering medieval Latvia. The optional tour for this morning takes us to the stunning scenery of the Gauja National Park and the town of Sigulda. We listen to the medieval Latvian legend of the Rose of Turaida, and see the ruins of the Episcopal Castle and of the Castle of the Knights of the Sword before we return to Riga. The afternoon offers an optional visit to the Ethnographical Open Air Museum, a spacious exposition of 18th century country life. The evening offers an optional organ concert at the Dome Cathedral.

We first go to the town of Sergiev Posad to visit the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, the most important Russian monastery and the spiritual heart of the Russian Orthodox Church. After that we drive through scenic Russian landscapes to Vladimir, one of the ancient capitals of Russia. We see the Assumption Cathedral and the St. Demetrius Cathedral, both world heritage sites and the Golden Gate. DAY 12 (TUESDAY): RIGA In the morning, upon arrival to Riga harbor we are transferred to our hotel, Check in at Hotel Radisson Blu Latvija**** or similar. The afternoon is best spent for getting the first impressions of the Latvian capital. DAY 13 (WEDNESDAY): RIGABefore we get acquainted with Riga we have the possibility of discovering medieval Latvia. The optional tour for this morning takes us to the stunning scenery of the Gauja National Park and the town of Sigulda. We listen to the medieval Latvian legend of the Rose of Turaida and see the ruins of the Episcopal Castle and of the Castle of the Knights of the Sword before we return to Riga. DAY 14 (THURSDAY): RIGARiga, founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert, is the largest of the three Baltic capitals and boasts a real kaleidoscope of architectural styles. The walking tour of the Old Town includes Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Large and Small Guilds and the Freedom Monument. The afternoon is reserved for an optional visit to Jurmala, the vibrant Latvian sea resort, famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches. In the evening we enjoy a Latvian dinner at the stylish Restaurant La Boheme.


DAY 16 (SATURDAY): TALLINNTallinn is a charming blend of medieval tranquility and modern urban life. The medieval Old Town is a busy place in the summer with its many shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés and restaurants. The sightseeing tour takes us around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town where we see Toompea Castle, Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, medieval Old Town Hall and Great Guild Hall. In the afternoon an optional excursion is offered to Kadriorg Park and visit to KUMU, the award-winning new Estonian art museum, with its collections of classic and contemporary fine art. DAY 17 (SUNDAY): TALLINN - HELSINKIIn the morning we take the hydrofoil from Tallinn to Helsinki and enjoy a refreshing tour through the Finnish archipelago before arriving in Helsinki. Upon arrival we are transferred to our hotel and check-in at Hotel Radisson Blu Royal**** or similar The balance of the day is reserved for exploring the Finnish capital individually.

DAY 18 (MONDAY): HELSINKIHelsinki is truly located at the crossroads of Western and Eastern culture and this is reflected everywhere in the green and lively Finnish capital. The sightseeing tour takes us around the harbors, up central Mannerheim Street and by the Parliament Building, the Finland Hall, and the Sibelius Monument and for a visit at the famous Church-in the-Rock. The afternoon offers an optional excursion to Seurasaari Open-Air Museum, an oasis in the midst of the city with cottages, farmsteads and manors from all around Finland.


DAY 20 (WEDNESDAY): ST. PETERSBURGSt. Petersburg is an amazing city. Its imperial palaces and museums enjoy worldwide fame, while the Neva River and the many canals have deservedly given the city the title “The Venice of the North”. During the morning sightseeing tour we get acquainted with all the splendours of the city: the Peter-Paul Fortress, the Winter Palace, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Church of the Bleeding Saviour, the Nevsky Convent and much more. The afternoon offers an optional visit to Peterhof, an uncontested masterpiece of the time of Peter the Great, with the impressive Grand Palace, Grand Cascade and Water Avenue and its wonderful parks. DAY 21 (THURSDAY): ST .PETERSBURGThe morning is reserved for an optional excursion to Zarskoye Selo with the impressive Catherine’s Palace and the Amber Room, which vanished during World War II and was restored for St. Petersburg’s tri-centennial celebrations. In the afternoon, an optional visit to the world-famous Hermitage Art Museum is offered. In the evening we enjoy a Russian dinner at Restaurant Na Zdoroviye.

DAY 22 (FRIDAY): ST. PETERSBURG-MOSCOWThe early morning is reserved for an optional guided shopping tour to fashion and souvenir boutiques on the Nevsky Prospect. Around noon we go to the Moscow Railway Station and board the Sapsan high-speed train bound for Moscow. The train ride takes us through

DAY 23 (SATURDAY): MOSCOWMoscow, The Mother of Russia, is a genuine Russian city with the Kremlin and its onion domed cathedrals. DAY 3 (SATURDAY): OSLO-GEILOFounded in 1048 Oslo is Scandinavia’s oldest capital and today it is a very pleasant and casual city with an interesting jumble of historical and modern architecture. Upon arrival in Oslo we start the morning sightseeing tour. We enjoy a walk around the Frogner Park decorated with the unique sculptures of Gustav Vigeland. We pass by the City Hall and the main street, Karl Johan, leading to the Royal Palace. In the early afternoon we continue our journey to the beautiful Hallingdal Valley. We visit Gol and arrive in Geilo, a small town surrounded by mountains. Check-in at Hotel Bardola**** or similar. Dinner at hotel.

DAY 4 (SUNDAY): GEILO-BERGENToday we really enter the breathtaking Norwegian nature. We continue through the Hallingdal Valley, known for its folkloric traditions. We cross the Hardanger mountain plateau and on the descent towards the fjord we pass the famous Voringsfossen Waterfall. We cross the Hardanger Fjord by ferry and continue along its shores to Bergen. Situated on a peninsula surrounded by 7 mountains the history of Bergen is closely connected with the sea and this is very noticeable in the city, especially at the city’s picturesque waterfront. The afternoon sightseeing tour introduces us to this remarkable Hanseatic city with the Bryggen area of old wooden houses, the traditional Fish Market and the city centre with the st. DAY 5 (MONDAY): BERGEN-STALHEIMThe morning is at leisure to explore more of the stunning Norwegian fjord capital. The late afternoon is reserved using the spa facilities at the hotel.

DAY 4 (WEDNESDAY): SAAREMAASaaremaa is the biggest Island in Estonia and during the optional 6-hour tour we explore all its secrets. We start with a tour of Kuressaare, the largest town on the island, where many conquerors have left a worthy heritage of Baroque, Gothic and Classicist architecture. We stroll though the town and visit the Episcopal Castle, the best preserved medieval fortress in Estonia. After that we visit the windmills in Angla, the St. Catherine’s Church in Karja and Kaali Craters before we return to Kuressaare.

DAY 5 (THURSDAY): SAAREMAA-LAHEMAAThe ferry brings us back to the mainland and we head south for Parnu, the prime summer resort in Estonia. We do a tour of the resort and a leisurely stroll along the beach. After lunch break we head north through a magnificent scenery to Rakvere, a peaceful provincial town still benefiting from its Hanseatic legacy. We stop to see Rakvere Castle and after that a short drive brings us to the Lahemaa National Park and

DAY 6: (FRIDAY): LAHEMAAThe Lahemaa National Park has been a protected park since the 1970es and offers a blend of unspoiled flora and fauna, untouched rivers and lakes, small quaint villages and coastal towns, sandy beaches and old manor houses. During an optional 6-hour trip we visit the ethnographical village in Altja, the harbour in Vergi and the coastal towns of Vosu and Kasmu.
