Coaches: Our coaches are new 49-seater 1st class coaches with air conditioning, adjustable seats, toilet, fridge and possible other conveniences. Depending on sales some tours or segments of tours and optional tours will be operated with new 1st class minivans with adjustable seats and air conditioning. For comfort and security we always keep at least 3 empty seats in coaches and minivans. Passengers are covered by 3rd person liability insurance. Drivers are driving strictly according to EU regulations. Seating in the vehicles is free.

Tour escorts: Our tour escorts are university graduates and have been specially trained as guides and as bilingual tour escorts. The tour escorts are very experienced and most have been working for us for many years. The tour escorts are assisted by local guides if needed or required.

VOX: Tours in Finland and Russia are operated with VOX audio communication system, providing the guests with the finest state-of-the-art technology.

Portage: Portage of one piece of luggage is included at all 4 and 5 star hotels and railway stations.

Visa support: Visa is required for almost all nationalities for tours including Russia and only for some fewer nationalities for tours covering EU destinations. We supply visa support complementary. We do not accept any responsibility for guests arriving without valid passport and visa.

Number of participants: We allow max 45 guests on the same tour. The average number of guests is around 30-35. For the Baltic Biking and Baltic Hiking tours we allow max 21 guests respectively max 31 guests on the same tour.

SPECIAL FEATURESArrival and departure transfers: Guests can pre-order private arrival and departure transfers. By arrival transfer the guests are met by a driver with a name board reading their surnames in the arrival hall of the airport. Guests should co-ordinate their departure transfer with the tour escort.

Welcome letter: On arrival to the hotel the guests receive a personalized welcome letter announcing time and place for the welcome meeting.

Welcome meeting: During the welcome meeting the guests are served a welcome drink. The tour escort introduces the program and the optional tours and the guests receive various materials such as a personalized program and information materials.

Diplomas for active touring: The participants in the Baltic Biking and Baltic Hiking tours receive a diploma for successfully completing active touring in the Baltic countries at the end of the tour.

MORE VALUEOptional excursions and dinners: Our tours come with an extensive choice of optional excursions and dinners. The optional services can be booked in advance or during the tour.

The optional excursions feature important highlights not included into the standard sightseeing tours and always include transport, guide service and entrances.

The optional dinners are half-board at hotel or special highlight dinners at local restaurants. Dinners at hotels are substantial 3-course set menu or buffet style and include ice-water and coffee/tea. Highlight dinner at local restaurants include a substantial 3-course menu with ice-water and coffee/tea. In some cases alcoholic drinks or live music is included. The highlight dinners at local restaurant include guide and transport, in some few cases the restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel (max 10 min walk) and transport is not included. At both hotels and local restaurants additional drinks can be ordered and paid for at the spot.

PRE- AND POST STAYSWe offer attractive rates for guests who would like to arrive earlier or departure later. Please ask for a detailed pricelist.

QUALITY, SAFETY AND SECURITYQuality control: We ask all guests to fill out a service questionnaire. The questionnaires are handed over to the guests during the welcome meeting and collected at the end of the tour. Moreover, we are happy to receive feed back in any other form, aiming to help us to maintain and raise the standards of our product.

Safety and security: Safety and security is a priority in all our operations. We only use suppliers that guarantee the same. We carefully check the insurance and operating licenses of all our suppliers.

DAY 2 (WEDNESDAY): KRAKOWFor half a millennium Krakow was the royal capital of Poland and for centuries the city walls have guarded its traditions and secrets. The morning sightseeing tour takes us to the Old Town with the St. Mary’s Church, the Jagiellonian University, the Cloth Halls and Wawel with the Wawel Castle and the Wawel Cathedral. The afternoon offers an optional excursion to the famous Wieliczka Salt Mine, an amazing labyrinth of tunnels going down as far as 327 meters. DAY 3 (THURSDAY): KRAKOW-WARSAWWe leave for Czestochowa, the spiritual heart of Poland, where we visit the Jasna Gora Monastery with the Black Madonna. DAY 4 (FRIDAY): WARSAWWarsaw is essentially a post-war city with a meticulously reconstructed Old Town. DAY 5 (SATURDAY): WARSAW-MRAGOWAWe continue through the well forested North Poland into the Masurian Lakeland, a myriad of postglacial lakes representing some of the most beautiful nature in the whole of Poland. The afternoon excursion of the Masurian Lakeland takes us to the quaint town of Ketrzyn, to the beautiful Baroque church in Swieta Lipka and to the town of Gizycko, surrounded to all sides by the lakes. DAY 6 (SUNDAY): MRAGOWA-VILNIUSToday we continue along the eastern fringe of the Masurian Lakeland with endless blue lakes and attractive resort

TallinnDAY 8 (TUESDAY): VILNIUS-RIGAHeading for Riga, the first stop is the Hills of Crosses, one of the most holy sites of Catholic Lithuania. After crossing into Latvia we soon reach the magnificent Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland. Following a guided tour of the palace we travel through the rolling hills of Southern Latvia to reach Riga late afternoon, check-in at Hotel Radisson Blu Latvija**** or similar.

DAY 9 (WEDNESDAY): RIGA Before we get acquainted with Riga we have the possibility of discovering medieval Latvia. The optional tour for this morning takes us to the stunning scenery of the Gauja National Park and the town of Sigulda. We listen to the medieval Latvian legend of the Rose of Turaida, and see the ruins of the Episcopal Castle and of the Castle of the Knights of the Sword before we return to Riga. The afternoon offers an optional visit to the Ethnographical Open Air Museum, a spacious exposition of 18th century country life. The evening offers an optional organ concert at the Dome Cathedral.

DAY 10 (THURSDAY): RIGA Riga founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert is the largest of the 3 Baltic capitals and boasts a true kaleidoscope of various architectural styles. The walking tour of the Old Town includes Riga Castle, Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, Swedish Gates, Three Brothers, Large and Small Guild House and the Freedom Monument. DAY 3 (TUESDAY): KLAIPEDAThe day is reserved for a full-day optional tour to the Curonian Spit, a thin, 100 km stretch of land between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon with small fishing villages, pine forests and endless sand dunes. Our first stop is the Hill of Witches in Juodkrante. After that we continue to Nida, where we visit the High Dunes, Thomas Mann’s summerhouse and get acquainted with the charming resort town before we drive back to Klaipeda. The evening offers an optional Lithuanian dinner at Restaurant 19th Century.

DAY 4 (WEDNESDAY): KLAIPEDA-RIGAKlaipeda first became a part of Lithuania in 1923 and had a long history as a German town called Memel. A short sightseeing tour takes us to the Old Town with its narrow, cobblestone streets and old guild houses and we visit the Theatre Square and the Aennchen von Tharau Fountain. We now continue to the Samogitia National Park, where we embark on a walking tour around the picturesque Lake Plateliai. After that we continue to Siauliai and

We first go to the town of Sergiev Posad to visit the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, the most important Russian monastery and the spiritual heart of the Russian Orthodox Church. After that we drive through scenic Russian landscapes to Vladimir, one of the ancient capitals of Russia. DAY 6 (TUESDAY): STALHEIM-FAGERNESToday we continue through the fjord region with its formidable water-drowned glacial valleys, flanked by impossible rugged terrain to Gudvangen where we cross the Naroyfjord and reach the village of Flam. DAY 13 (WEDNESDAY): RIGABefore we get acquainted with Riga we have the possibility of discovering medieval Latvia. DAY 12 (TUESDAY): NIDA-KLAIPEDA The last day in paradise. You still have the whole day to enjoy Nida, take a last swim in the Baltic Sea, make the last stroll through the fishermen’s village, enjoy a last breathtaking view of the Curonian Lagoon, do you last bargains in the amber and souvenir stalls in the pedestrian centre of the resort and shoot your last holiday photos from the Curonian Spit.
