Guar Gum Industry Seems
The guar gum industry seems more pleasant after two years; the accelerated demand for guar gum is the reason behind suppliers' happiness. The commodity is being supplied in different countries such as- Germany, Latin America, and China from India. Countries importing the guar seeds and using them in the food sector on large scale. At present, the industry expects the guar gum export to be around 6 lakh per tonne because of the rising demand of the commodity in the food sector. Previous year, the Guar gum suppliers in India have exported 3.25 lakh tonne quantity on the overseas food industry. It was due to fall in demand of the guar products and introduction to other alternatives in the market.
Guar Seeds Are Used Guar seeds are used to extract off-white powder,
also known as guar gum powder. This powder is used as a thickening agent and an additive in most food products including dairy products- cheese, yogurt, pasta, pastries, etc. Some farmers use them as a feed for animals, while petroleum and gas companies use it as a sealant to drill oil wells, gas wells, etc.
Many chemical companies have shifted to other alternative products due to hike in prices. The ideal alternatives to guar gum are xanthane gum and carbon methyl cellulose.
