• 2,433 registered Greeks at UC Irvine

• Social Influence reaches far and wide• Members of Greek Life participate in over 400+ other orgs• Use social media to reach thousands of students

TIME TO AUDIT• Waste audits at the sorority &

fraternity houses in Arroyo Vista• Conducted by Green Ambassadors and

those living in the house every month

• Inform them all directly about the power of recycling & composting

• Promote the on-campus bins

Bring in the Big Guns• Invite Sustainability professionals

from all walks of life to come talk to Green Greeks• Share opinions and discuss important

issues going on today• Engage with individuals who practice

UCI Thrift• 25 billion pounds of fabric is

created in the US every year• 21 billion pounds end up in

landfills• More than 5% of all municipal

solid waste

• Students bring in their old clothes which will be donated to charity• The Mobile Closet in La Habra,

• Ran and maintained by Green Ambassadors

Weeklong • Find a fraternity and sorority who will team up to

participate in this philanthropy• Pool together their resources and manpower

for a great cause• Habitat for Humanity or The Mobile Closet

• Use this event as a platform to get other Greeks & UCI students involved• Tabling—Sign in’s & Coin Wars• Apparel Sales—T-shirts or Tank Tops• The Green Initiative Fund
