What is TSR?• TSR is a process not an entity nor plenary

• TSR process bridges between technical developments with project management and JCA

• TSR process provide real time coordination among participating NGN-GSI groups (17 Qs from 3 SGs addition to other relevant SGs such as SG 12, 16 and17)

• TSR process facilitates dynamic joint discussion between groups and between issues

• TSR process collects opinions, comments and proposals from participants and bring these to JCA enhancing NGN-GSI event

Objective of TSR• Provide technical coherence, strategic and co-ordination aspects within the NGN studies, across the questions, working parties and study groups form the NGN-GSI

• Be expected to reinforce the role of the JCA, by ensuring the visibility and technical coherence of the NGN studies

• Shall not manage the work of the study groups, questions or working parties.

Summary of TSR ActivityFour sessions held until last Kobe NGN-GSI event

• 1st Session: 20th January 2006, Geneva - Guidance from JCA on the approving Study Group for

signalling requirements. - Guidance on handling of contributions outside the scope of R 1. - TSR co-ordinators to propose assignment of living list items

produced by the FGNGN to a specific single Question. • 2nd Session: 25th January 2006, Geneva - Joint activity btw. Q.2/13 and Q.1/11 to be initiated (in Kobe)

to progress user profile issues; - 3GPP and 3GPP2 were identified as having a potential dependency

for timescales of the ITU-T NGN R 1 work and therefore need to be included in the NGN Project Tool.

- to consider a way forward on the issue of new work having to be submitted to multiple questions (sometimes multiple study group’s).

Summary of TSR Activity

• 3rd (22nd) and 4th Session (27th) April 2006, Kobe Japan

- Took presentation of contributions on RFID received and concerns on overlap raised with the JCA.
